What You Will Do
Combine a walking tour of Thessaloniki with one of the best things to do in the town, tasting authentic local delicacies. Try unmissable Greek foods such as traditional "koulouri" (circular bread), bougatsa (pastry with various fillings), pittas, stuffed sandwiches & also local sweets.
Meet at the harbour of Thessaloniki and then head to an old bakery - a hidden gem that stands for three generations, for the first stop. Sample some typical Greek breakfast pastries and snacks and then head to the open market of the town. Through little streets and alleys full of history, you'll arrive at the "Kapani" (open from Monday to Saturday) a vibrant, colourful and historic place. Once you'll finish strolling the market, taste some very original street food and have the chance to hear some interesting stories from your guide. A memorable tour not to be missed that mixes culinary treats with culture!

Wonderful Experience

A lot more than just food

I would have given this a 5 star but who ever sorts the booking and sends out the met up details didn’t give us or others in the group the correct meeting point. We where give a post code of a very long road. I had to call and get the meeting point, which turned out to be the harbour entrance.
The tour it’s self was very relaxed and a enjoyable few hours, our guide was very knowledgeable about the food and the city. As we walked she told us so much we didn’t know about the city and then stopping for local food and drinks.

A fabulous way to learn about the sights and tastes of this wonderful city.

We regularly go on city food tours, to get our bearings, learn about the history and cultures of the country/town and of course taste their lovely food. Sophie, our guide, was exceptional. Wonderfully knowledgeable with almost perfect English. As a small group (she has a max of 5) we sampled foods, visited cafes, markets galore and learnt so much about Thessaloniki and Greece in general. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Well worth every penny.
