Exclusive Brunello di Montalcino tour from Florence

Francesco our driver was excellent, providing insight and levity for the entire day. He really took the time to explain the different area’s nuances and it was extremely comfortable with his companionship. My wife Lucia was hesitant but was at ease with him within minutes. Each winery provided an excellent tour and wine tasting session. I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in learning about Tuscany and the Brunello brand.

Our guide was wonderful, kind and very informative. The vehicle was very comfortable and the drive from Florence through Tuscany was beautiful. We were picked up directly from our hotel which was very helpful. We so appreciated visiting the smaller family owned Tuscan wineries where we learned to appreciative the Brunello making process and had lots of tastings. We were able to order a few cases and they were happy to ship the. Back to the US for us. Should receive in 2-3 weeks. We look forward to tasting these beautiful wines again at home!

Our driver and guide, Angel (Angelo), was absolutely the best. The wineries, locations and scenery were fantastic. All-in-all a truly winderful day trip out of Florence! We’d do it again in a heartbeat.

We had the opportunity to visit 3 fabulous wineries while tasting their great vintages. Each had it’s own unique charm and wonderful staff.

A fabulous day in Italy's countryside with the best tour guide, Fabio! We visited 3 different wineries with a 3-course lunch that was delicious. Fabio was very knowledgeable about the wine and provided a brief background of each area that we visited. He was a wonderful tour guide. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

First of all we would like to commend Belen for driving respectfully and safely throughout the day so we could relax as she educated us to the countryside and the plans at the three vineyards we visited. It was a real pleasure having her as our guide.

My family and I did this tour in August 2022. It is now February 2023 and to this day we still talk about this tour in Montalcino. Also, I have never written a review in my life, but I was thinking about this tour and I felt it would be an injustice if I didn't post a review!

So, here it is: IT WAS AMAZING. Authentic experience away from the usual touristy places and whatnot. Our guide's name was Martina (I still remember the name!) and she was friendly, informative, funny, and overall just perfect for the job.

We were picked up on time from the hotel, drove to Montalcino from Florence, and had a little stop for coffee. The first winery was just breathtaking. Felt like a dream. The interior road to the winery is a bit bumpy since it's not paved so at first we were like omg where are we going lol but once we got there we were like wow the ride was beyond worth it. My family is a little picky about places but literally we all just loved this place. We had a tour of the underground cave wine cellar and learned about the process. The wines that were selected were of a good variety. We tasted the brunello, the Rosso and also some grappa! I will say, all three of the places we went to def don't skimp on the tastings like they do in Napa Valley. We tasted some DOC's and DOCG's as well.

The second place, again amazing. We had a nice lunch with olive oil tasting along with the wine tasting. We had some dietary limitations, which we had communicated to earlier on and we were accommodated with no complaints. The food was good but the olive oil! SO GOOD! Like wow. Wine, again, really good selection. I recall these being lighter than the ones at the first winery so it was a nice balance.

Third place also just as beautiful and hospitable. We did a honey tasting from 20 different types of honey and a wine tasting, toured the cellars and took pictures with the huge barrels and learned more about their methods. The tasting area was really cute and different from the rest and they even had some light munchies like bread, cheese, and fresh tomatoes. The wines at this place were also nicely selected. Good balance of light, dry, rich, etc. Overall the wines at all the places were top noch. We got a crate shipped from each winery!

At the end of the day, my family was knocked out from all the wine since by now we'd had like 15 glasses so the ride back was quiet (aside from the snores LOL) but man we had an AMAZING day with this tour. For reference, in August, we were in Europe for a couple weeks and had gone to other places like Vienna, Munich and whatnot, but this tour was undoubtedly the highlight. From the time of pickup to dropoff, we felt taken care of and pampered. I honestly can't think of anything negative! I totally and whole heartedly not only recommend this tour, but STRONGLY ENCOURAGE it because it's honestly an experience that will stay with you for life. I would say the only thing I regret is not staying longer in Montalcino, seems like a really charming little town but I guess I gotta leave something to do next time :)

Belen was an excellent guide! We had a perfect day. We visited 3 Brunello wineries, all very different. We enjoyed a delicious lunch. We went to a very small winery, a medium sized winery and a very large one. We never could have planned a better experience on our own. My husband and I booked this trip as part of our honeymoon. I wanted to go with a slightly smaller tour company (where the team would have more ownership, rather than being a big commercial machine) that specialized in wine tours specifically. We could not have been happier with our day with Enotropea. Our guide Fabi was phenomenal - an endless fount of wine knowledge (Level 3 Sommelier) with a magnetic personality and great sense of humor. We learned so much about Tuscany, Brunello wines, and Italian culture, and we had an amazing time doing it. The experience is worth every penny. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Enotropea and Fabi!

My husband and I splurged on this private tour as part of our 2 week Italian vacation, and it was by far the best day of our trip. Our guide Martina was so lovely and was with us the whole day to answer our questions and teach us more about wine. We visited 3 fabulous wineries for private tours and one of the tours was actually with the owner of the winery. It was a day we will never forget and we are so thankful to the wineries and Enotropea Tours for the experience!

An amazing day wine tasting with Angel, who taught us so much and was a joy to be around. Delicious food and beautiful scenery. Wine tasting in Tuscany, it doesn’t get better than that!

By far the best day of our 10 day trip. Angel is not only a considerate driver, host and sommelier he is a genuine nice guy. We enjoyed tasting some of the best wines in Tuscany, a lovely lunch and enjoyed learning more about food pairings. The tours were just the right length and we never felt rushed all day. Entropea tours is as professional and as personable. We would definitely recommend it to friends !

Angel meet us at our hotel at three at time and we enjoyed a comfortable ride in his car. Angel is very knowledgeable about the region and the wines.

We visited three wineries hand picked by Angel and they were all great. We took our time at each and were never rushed. We also asked about an ancient monastery and Angel took us to it since we had some extra time.

I look forward to returning to Tuscany and visiting three more wineries hand picked by Angel.

If you love Brunello you will love this tour. We had a great time while enjoying amazing wine. Staff at the wineries were so friendly, we were so lucky to have Angel guiding our tour, great sommelier who definetely taught us many things about the toscan wines and enhanced the experience. Highly recommended.

Just book it! This day with Alexandra and Niccolo for the wine and cooking class I can only describe as something out of a dream at Castello Tricerchi, a winery rich in family history for four centuries.

We knew this was our chance to enjoy all that Montalcino had to offer and this day cooking with Alexandra, learning about Brunello and the centuries long history of Castello Tricerchi elevated our trip beyond belief that included Rome, Florence and the Amalfi Coast.

Alexandra was a master in the kitchen but also delightfully personable and an amazing teacher of something that is clearly in her blood. We made, from scratch, three kinds of pasta, three sauces and tiramisu. If that isn't enough, it was all eaten al fresco under the canopy of the most beautiful day ever. She also gives you all the recipes, which are surprisingly not complicated and when you go home you will hear her voice while you're sipping Brunello and rolling out your own pasta for the sauce that's simmering on your stove.
