Lucca: kayak tour with aperitif

Really good fun and a nice way to cool down in the Tuscan heat! Aperitif half way was a lovely touch

Tolle Tour in malerischer Landschaft. Wir haben Reiher und andere Vögel gesehen. Die Tour war einfach, auch für Kinder geeignet, an den kleinen Stromschnellen war aber ein bisschen Abenteuer dabei.
Highlights: die nett hergerichtete kleine „Brotzeit“ und der super-liebe Guide, der vor allem toll mit den Kindern umgehen konnte und auch sonst alles super erklärt und geleitet hat!

Wir haben diesen Ausflug im Oktober 23 unternommen und er war im gross und ganzen okey. Wir hatten Spass auf dem Kanu, leider war die Beschreibung zum Ausflug mangelhaft. Wir waren pünktlich um 14:30 vor Ort, hatten eine Verzögerung von 20-25min da ein paar Teilnehmer zu spät kamen (ist ja nicht die Schuld des Unternehmens), waren aber dann erst um 17:45 wieder am Treffpunkt zurück. Welches nicht übereinstimmt mit der Beschriebenen Dauer von 1h 45min.

Weiter ist es empfehlenswert Wasserschuhe und nur Badekleidung anzuziehen. Wir liefen einige Male im Knietiefem Wasser und mit Sneaker ist dies nicht so witzig. Ohne Schuhe ins Wasser war sehr gefährlich, da die Steine komplett mit Seegras bedeckt waren und so sehr rutschig waren.

Für die Rückfahrt kann ich auch empfehlen, ein eigenes „Taxi“, oder eine mit-fahr-Gelegenheit zu organisieren. Das Team hatte uns als Gruppe mit ihren mini Bussen zum Treffpunkt zurück gefahren. Glücklicherweise wurden zwei Teilnehmer privat mitgenommen, da es eh nicht genug Platz hatte. 7 Teilnehmer hatten einen Sitz und jemand musste auf den Boden des Vans zurückfahren.

Ich würde diesen Ausflug als Abenteuerlich beschreiben und nicht als gemütlich 😵‍💫

My 9-year-old said it was the most fun he had in Italy. It was super safe and the river was calm enough that he could jump in and swim around. A couple things I wish I knew beforehand, though:

- obvious, but wear water shoes!

- take a wet bag on a lanyard for your phone so you can take photos. We only have one photo from the experience, but none of us in the actual kayak.

- take a change of clothes. There's a changing tent at the end.

- be aware you have to carry your own raft to the river. The walk back to the van is quite strenuous, so you have to be moderately fit to do it.

- The drive back to the launch point passes downtown. If you don't drive (and take a taxi like us), ask to drop you off closer to town.

Your child WILL ask you to buy a flat pack kayak when you get home.

Ich und die Jungs (13/14) hatten einen riesen Spaß! Zwei Speerwerke mussen überwunden werden (die Tourguides haben geholfen wo nötig) und reichlich „Badegelegenheiten“ gab es auch!

Leuke ervaring met een vriendelijke en behulpzame begeleiding van Philipo. Fijn dat hun wat foto's voor je maken als extra service.

We had a great time kayaking down the river Serchio which is very picturesque. Mainly calm water but occasional small rapids made it more exciting. Friendly English speaking guide explained everything and made the whole experience very easy.

This was such a fun kayaking/rafting trip with my family. So pretty and such a great day to be on the river. Highly recommend. The hosts even dropped us off near our apartment which was so kind of them. Wish I had some extra $$ to give them. If anyone else does this don't bring your personal items or bring a water bag to store small items. Also for adults it should be one raft per person unless of course you have kids with you. The group was so nice and helpful.

What a fabulous afternoon. We were a family of 13 adults age range 20 to 60, and the communication before our trip was exceptional.
Our group started with 5, then went up to 11 then on the day of our booking 2 more wanted to join so we ended up with 13 and the company were so accommodating.
We arrived at the location and the guides were ready with all the equipment. We had a briefing and off we went. The inflatable kayaks were very sturdy and I felt very safe. It was a gentle start with a little white water. The guides were very informative and very relaxed. They played a few games with us, but pretty much let us do our own thing.
I would highly recommend this activity for all ages. A huge 5 star rating from me.

The experience was fun and refreshing in such a warm summer day. Also it made our trip in Lucca different and memorable.
Giacomo was our guide, he is great! Very nice, friendly and responsible. We had very nice chat with him and he also gave us further recommendations for our trip.
I would absolutely recommend this activity!

The only little thing I'd recommend the organisers if they would like to improve, is that the online description of the activity should be more accurate. It would be useful to explain how this activity will be and how should we get dress, what sort of shoes shall we bring, if we should bring a bottle of water. If we bring glasses maybe it is good to have a fastening... And where we will be able to leave our bags during the experience.

We didn't have any problem because we had some experience with it. But I think that people who makes it for first time would be grateful to get more detailed info.

A fun and beautiful way to spend an afternoon! Our guide was knowledgeable, patient and fun to chat with. He even gave us local restaurant recommendations. This is a very calm rafting experience with a good amount of paddling, and very few rapids. Good for beginners or a relaxing trip down the river.

We did the wild canyoning with our scouting group. Adventurous and challenging, a really nice experience!
The staff was superfriendly and helped us when needed. They arranged a shuttle for us and we even could stay overnight at their wonderful base.
We had great times in Bagni di Lucca!
