Also known as the Altare della Patria, it is a monumental white marble structure in Piazza Venezia, dedicated to Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of unified Italy. The monument houses the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, with an eternal flame, and offers stunning panoramic views of Rome from its rooftop.
