Venice: Private After Dark Tour and Gondola Ride

Excellent experience. Ottavia was an incredible guide. Would recommend to anyone who wants an overview of the city and its history.

We had an epic tour of Rialto bridge area with some historical references to things that had happened in the past. We toured the city and learned about various spots to go visit and the sinister background of each region. I recommend this tour to get a glimpse of the city and learn more about it. Also the gondola ride was peaceful and amazing to see the city from a different view.

Great experience! Marie was knowledgeable about history and current culture. She provided insights into the architecture that, once learned, enhance your surroundings as you walk the Venetian streets. She gave each building character. Her tour and sharing of knowledge and experience was a great addition to our time in Venice.

Most walking tours take you to the expected sights to see… but not this after dark walking tour with Sabrina!

Venice is a city of bridges and a maze of small alleyways. Sabrina is an expert guide and very knowledgeable about Venetian history. Before we started the walking tour, she spent a good 10 minutes giving us a quick history lesson. She brought out a map and showed us the various districts and islands in Venice.

Sabrina took us down various small alleyways with a surprise and the end of alleyway.. small courtyards, various churches and showed us where Marco Polo resided and the history of his life. While we went over bridges, we got a quick lesson on how the changing tides have impacted life in Venice.

We ended our tour with a private gondola ride, which was on our bucket list.. and so worth it!

Exquisite. Ottavia is engaging, knowledgeable, cheerful, willing to listen and answer any questions, energetic, patient, and fun to be with. Private conversational tour was infinitely better than the “earbud tour” we had taken previously. Very glad we took this tour with Ottavia and will recommend her to anyone we know is going to Venice.

Our Guide was a doll! She knew her history and extremely knowledgeable. I am into WWII history. Finding out her family was part of the conflict from Croatia and to hear what her family went thru was exhilarating to talk about. It all tied with why Venice was the only city which was not destroyed by the Germans.

The tour guide Otti was very welcoming and nice! She explained everything about the city of Venice so clearly and took us through tiny hidden alleyways. She answered our questions and was very knowledgeable!

Wonderful walk around well known spots and some hidden campos. Our guide Ottavia was so knowledgeable and very fun! At the end we were stopped right at the gondola and it was waiting for us ready to go.

So interesting walking the streets and seeing things that you just would not understand if you didn’t have someone to point them out. Took a gondola ride as well which was so cool.

George was an awesome tour guide. He was knowledgeable on the city of Venice, the history, and the ghosts. He has a great sense of humor and we had a great time.

We were so appreciative that he took the walking portion of the tour at a pace our group could handle.

It was such a heartwarming experience with beautiful local guide Valentina. Besides historical details she also gave us great food and gelato recommendations, what would be good to visit on remaining days, we passed the house she grew up in and her mom greeted us from the balcony and ended up with evening gondola ride. This day couldn’t be any better

Our guide, Jorge, completely won over both our 6 and 8 year olds seemingly quite easily with his vast knowledge and storytelling skills. This was truly a highlight of our time in Venice, and we loved the added history and knowledge that he wove in for the adults.

We had a great time on our tour! Brankica was very knowledgeable and had so many great stories to keep our kids entertained. We enjoyed her company during the two hours she spent with us, and we would definitely recommend this tour.
