Amsterdam Centraal

10 minutes

A Monument of Amsterdam’s Past Opened in 1889, Amsterdam’s Central Station was designed by famed architect Pierre Cuypers, who also created the Rijksmuseum. Built on thousands of wooden pilings driven into marshy ground, this grand station became the city’s primary gateway. Today, it stands as a blend of history and innovation, linking Amsterdam’s storied past with its vibrant present.

William was a fantastic guide through the magical Dutch countryside. Highly recommended. We are 60 years old, haven’t ridden a bicycle in 40 years, and William got us home safe.

We arrived for our tour around 9:15am and were immediately greeted by our guide Sebastian and Louis. They were both very friendly and helpful setting up our bicycles!

We were a little nervous about the first part of the ride in the city, but Sebastian was an excellent guide and we always felt safe and comfortable!

Throughout the ride, we made a few stops and Sebastian shared lots of interesting information about the history of the city, and some local recommendations that turned out great!!

The countryside was stunning, and the highlight was definitely the farm we visited. We arrived just in time to watch the cows and sheep being let out for the morning! Also, we were very lucky and had the opportunity to pet some baby sheep only a few days old! Of course, the cheese we tasted was the freshest we have ever had, and tasted delightful!!

5 stars for the tour, and for Sebastian for being patient and thorough with all the information he shared and answers to our questions.
Outstanding way to experience the best of Amsterdam. City and Countryside.

Our guide Tomas was superb. Such an exhilarating way to see the City - the cycling route took us initially through the eastern suburbs and regenerated areas with trendy warehouse conversions and then we headed up to the North and entered the countryside where we were treated to stunning old fishing villages. Beautiful houses and architecture and we were informed that these villages are now in high demand to buy, and we could understand why.

A visit to an organic dairy farm was a lovely respite to the cycling , and we got to meet a friendly female Dutch farmer who introduced us to her sheep and cows. My teenager kids got to hold a small lamb and loved it ! The farm produces a unique soft cheese not common in Holland, and it was delicious. A real highlight to the Tour.

On the way back, we entered Amsterdam via a different route and again - Tomas took us through some beautiful suburbs of Amsterdam - I feel we saw the absolute best of the City on the day.

Highly recommend the Tour Operators - they looked after us, were super knowledgeable and treated us to an exceptional cycling route.
