Day Trip from Bucharest to Danube Delta
Bucharest, Romania
14 hours
What You Will Do
We will meet around 6:30 AM and head out to explore the second-largest and best-preserved delta in Europe.
Upon arrival, you will embark on a 4-5 hour boat trip led by a local guide. It is an amazing opportunity to admire one of the largest biodiversities in the world. The Danube Delta, part of the UNESCO World Heritage sites, is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts, offering the chance to spot more than 300 species of birds and other animals.
The area comprises an intricate network of waterways and lakes divided between the three main estuary channels of the Danube. This amazing region of floating reed islands, forests, pastures, and dunes covers 3,000 square miles and is home to a fascinating mix of cultures, people, and wildlife. During the tour, you will also have the chance to savor a traditional fisherman's lunch (optional and involves and extra cost).
Inspired by the amazing views and tranquility of nature, we will drive back to Bucharest.
