Local Beer & Food Tour

Starting at the castle while a great view is not an easy climb and one I had done previously in the same day. The food and drink choices and spots were all very good and gave us a good overview of Slovac traditional foods. Appreciated the guide following up with us after with all the places we went.

We were in Bratislava on a river cruise and took this opportunity to explore the city in a unique way. We couldn’t have been more pleased! Lina was a fantastic guide and she really made our tour a memorable one. Everything was really well paced, we really got to experience each stop fully, never feeling rushed yet never feeling that we were lingering at any one place too long. The stops were really well curated, there was a nice balance between beer and food. We ate and drank a lot but never felt exhausted. Not only was Lina very knowledgeable but she was really accommodating about answering any questions we had, whether it was about the food or local history or culture. This tour is highly recommended, you really get value for your money.

We had a fab evening on this tour with Terézia. Loads of booze & some delicious food and interesting information about Bratislava & Slovakia. Terezia is a lovely person. There were 4 of us on the tour and we all got on so well that we went out together drinking after the tour! Highly recommended!

Our host was Lila and she was fantastic!! She highlighted many areas of the city and spots that we should visit/see while in Bratislava. Lila is very knowledgeable about everything Bratislava and spoke about life here under Communist rule. Very educational!! We visited many restaurants/bars and enjoyed traditional Slovak foods, snacks and drinks.

Words alone can not do justice regarding our wonderful experience with Linda at Bratislava Food Tours. She was the most thoughtful, knowledgeable, and kind tour guide I have ever met (Slovakia is my 61st country visited and have done many guided tours). The amount and quality of the local food and beer we enjoyed and the variety and number of memorable venues we visited were worth the price of the tour many times over. We had a group of 17 people and she made each one of us feel special and cared for like family members. Linda's English narration is extremely clear. She has such a fun and positive attitude. She not only introduces to fine local beverages and food but also shared so much history and culture of her beautiful country. Our group spent almost 2 weeks in Europe together and our time with Linda was the absolute best part of our trip for many of us. Thank you Linda! We will never forget this experience.

My sister and I really enjoyed this tour! We went to several different locations, ate some delicious food and had lots of great beer. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the city and it was a great way to maximize our short stay in this fab city! There were only 2 other people on the tour and it was very authentic. I would never have found these beers or food without our guide!

Slovakia was my 61st country visited. I have taken many local tours in various cities around the world. This was the most thoughtful, meaningful, and fulfilling tour I’ve ever taken. Linda was our guide. She was so welcoming from the very start. We immediately felt like we were part of her family and culture. The value for what we paid was fantastic. We ate so much great Slovakian food and sampled plenty of Slovakian beer during this tour. We toured as a group of 17 friends. Every person in the group made comments of how great this experience was. I can’t express how much we enjoyed this!

We had a group of 14 adults and a five year old. Linda was out tour guide and met us at the castle to start our four hour walking tour of Bratislava. We covered a lot of ground but it was not too much for our son to do it all on foot.

My wife is not a beer drinker, and once Linda was aware of that she made sure my wife had a glass of wine available at all the stops!

Linda had lots of information to share, and with our large group several people had questions for her about the history of the city, and she was able to provide good information!

We had a great time and would highly recommend this tour for any size or age group!

She took the time to educate us on not only the food and beer scene in Bratislava, but also taught us about the history behind the food and beer we enjoyed along the way. We had a fantastic day. Linda took the time to really explain not only the food items but the history of Slovakia and Bratislava as we walked the city, starting atop at the Castle. Every sample selection was part of Slovakian history and was delicious. Do not show up on a full stomach! Thanks for such a great time! 👍

Our guide, Lila, was a fountain of information. Never rushed, she kept our little group of 4 well stocked with food, drink and stories, and kept us moving along without any pressure. She did her job well and knew what she was talking about, as expected, but she also shared stories about how the foods fit into the lives of her family and friends. Her tour mixed food and drink with insights into Slovenian life. It was like being shown around by a friend. With the relaxed atmosphere and more food and drink than I was able to consume, our tour went over the specified time, but she fixed everything and our table was always ready at the next stop.

We thought the tour was a little expensive when we decided to book, but that was wrong. It was worth every euro. Afterwards we say it is very good value. Recommend it highly.

Amazing food tour in Bratislava - in fact, this was the best food tour I have ever been on. Main emphasis is both on beer and food, so definitely DO come hungry and wear an elastic waistband.

Absolutely wonderful food and beer tour of Bratislava with Linda! Her first customers since Covid... From the welcome liquor and bread/salt ceremony to the delicious Christmas soup to the bakery yummies to the beer tasting to the final duck and dumpling dinner outdoors in a lovely restaurant, it was fantastic! Interesting memorials and buildings en route and the delightful personality of knowledgeable Linda. Enjoy!!!

Zuzana took us on an exceptionally good tour of the local places in Bratislava. She was extremely patient with us for the entirety of the evening and she was extremely accomplished at delivering local knowledge and the best places to eat and drink. We had the most enjoyable evening and we felt as if we saw all parts of the city as well as sampling some of the best dishes and local drinks.

I would highly recommend this experience.

We did the local beer & food tour with the wonderfull guide Zuzana, and we even got it as a private tour for the regular price because nobody else was registred on the day, but they still did the tour. Everything was perfectly organized, we went to a good mixture of more traditional and more modern brewpubs, craftbeer-bars and special shops, and regarding both food and drink everything was offered plentifull and in a broad range of different food & beer styles. Our guide was extremly knowledgeable both in the history of the city as well as the actual topics of the tour, and all the time it didn´t realyl feel like we were tourists who were shown around, but it was more like a trip into town for a night with a local friend. Thank you for a wonderful evening !
