Sheffield City Hall
This tour is designed to showcase the city, highlighting iconic buildings and landmarks such as Fitzalan Square, Sheffield Cathedral, Sheffield Library and the City Hall providing historical context and interesting facts along the way. Hear why Queen Victoria refused to leave her carriage on her visit to Sheffield when she came to open the Town Hall in 1897, how Barkers Pool and the new Pounds Park got their names, and why the formidable "Big Ada" made it into the Sheffield history books! The tour will also showcase some of the newer developments and additions to the city including the Winter Gardens, Cambridge Street Collective (Europe’s largest purpose built food hall) and Leah’s Yard (which launched in August 2024).
