On your private all-day tour, you will: 


  • Be picked up by your private driver and expert guide at a pre-arranged location of your choice in Glasgow;

  • Walk around George Square where Frank proposes to Claire, and see Glasgow University where Frank teaches in the series;

  • Enjoy magnificent scenic drives to multiple stunning locations used in the hit series, Outlander;

  • Visit the Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway which transformed into a wartime London railway station where Claire and Frank say their goodbyes in season one;

  • Visit Blackness Castle, known in Outlander as Fort William – the menacing headquarters of Jamie’s nemesis, Black Jack Randall. One of Scotland’s most impressive strongholds, this stunning castle was built in the 15th century;

  • Take a well-deserved break for a traditional Scottish lunch (not included);

  • Tour the fascinating Aberdour Castle where Claire and Murtagh bring Jamie to recover after his terrible ordeal in prison;

Whether you’re a fan of Outlander or not (you will be by the end of the day!) this is a stunning and fascinating tour of some of Scotland’s loveliest scenery and magnificent castles.

Your expert guide will also be a passionate fan of the series and show you the historic locations used for filming during this full-day tour in a luxury private vehicle. Your guide will point out all the fictional Outlander references and also tell you the ‘real’ history of all the sites you’ll take in on this jam-packed, day-long adventure!

Enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Scottish countryside, and step back in time as you relive some of the most iconic scenes from Outlander. Beware of the unreliable Scottish weather and bring comfortable clothing, a raincoat, and walking shoes.

Please note: If your travelling party is larger than 3, please be in touch so we may work with you on a custom booking. Also, in the case that one of the castles is closed on the day of your tour, your guide will spend more time in the other locations.

Free cancellation up to 30 days before tour start. 10% cancellation fee applies if cancelled between 30 and 4 days before tour start. Non refundable if cancelled within 4 days of tour start.

  • Accesibility: Foldable wheelchairs (under 10kg) can be stored in the vehicle. Please note the person must be able to get into and out of the vehicle without the assistance of the driver or tour guide and a member of the group must be able to lift the wheelchair in and out of the vehicle without the assistance of the driver or tour guide. Additionally, on some occasions, slight amendments to the route may need to be made to make this fully accessible. If your wheelchair is over 10kg or cannot be folded to be easily stored in a vehicle, please be in touch, so we can arrange a custom booking for you.
