Remember to take your camera… Not sure what a Sassannach is, come and find out :) Go Highlands only caters for small groups of up to 7 on our tours, which means you always get the absolute best experience. Clava Cairns

1 hour

Our first stop will be to the Clava cairns. Clava Cairns are a well-preserved Bronze Age cemetery complex of passage graves; ring cairns, kerb cairns and standing stones in a beautiful setting. Clava Cairns or the Prehistoric Burial Cairns of Bulnuaran of Clava are a group of three Bronze Age cairns located near Inverness. A hugely significant and exceptionally well preserved prehistoric site, Clava Cairns is a fantastic example of the distant history of Highland Scotland, dating back about 4,000 years.

Phenomenal tour!

We were lucky enough to have our own tour with George and wow, what a day! He was so knowledgeable and a great story teller, we learned A LOT. Our tour started at Clava Cairns, then Culloden battlefield, a visit to the smallest distillery in Scotland where we tried the award winning gin, and final stop at Urquhart Castle. All along the way George told us stories of the area and answered our questions with such passion and insight. Would highly recommend booking a tour with GoHighlands. We had an unforgettable experience and made memories that will last a life time!

The tour was one of the best tours we have ever been on. George was amazing, and showed us so much, shared so much history, and had a lot of fun. Worth every penny, and will plan on going on more Go Highlands tours on our next trip to Scotland. Thanks again George for a great tour!

We were lucky, only my wife and I on our tour. We had George all to ourselves and took advantage of his knowledge and great humor! I cannot recommend this tour and company enough. Just take a tour and see for yourself, you will not be disappointed.
