A craft beer tasting tour of the Bermondsey Beer Mile

John is very knowledgeable and friendly. He’s a delight to be around and a fantastic tour guide! The locals seem to be well-acquainted with John and his business. He’s a great guy and is tremendously funny. The time I went, it was just three people including me. I thought it was going to be awkward. It was far from it. I recommend this tour to everyone! I also got to learn interesting history about London. Cheers!

This is a great tour! Mainly owning to Paul’s extensive knowledge surrounding beer. He took us to several breweries and let us try several different kinds of beer. Whether you’re a seasoned beer drinker or not, I definitely recommend this tour!

This tour allows you to experience different styles of beer from some of the tap rooms along the beer mile. It was a pleasure to meet Paul and the other people on the tour, everyone was really good company. Not only is Paul extremely knowledgeable, he was also warm and engaging so that everyone had fun. With each beer he gave us some background on how that beer style is made and some of the history, while also giving us tips on how to evaluate the beer. Highly recommended.

I decided to take a trip out to bermondsey and joined paul from alehunters. It was great knowledge from a really experienced tour guide. Every aspect of the brewing process and tips on how to appreciate beer more were explained. Some absolutely terrific breweries were visited and the rest of the people who joined the team were an absolute pleasure to be with. A lovely couple all the way from texts joined us too. I can't give enough credit to paul and it was an incredible day!

Paul was very engaging and informative during the tour. What was excellent was the fact that the number of attendees is kept low so that everyone can hear what Paul is saying and ask questions as you journey along the various tap rooms being visited. The beers were excellent, and I came away from the tour feeling that I definitely need to come back and sample some more craft ale in the future!

Highly recommend! This Bermondsey beer tour was a hoot. Paul was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights into the local brewing scene. The selection of beers was diverse and delicious, offering a taste of the best breweries in the area. I particularly liked the London Black at Anspach & Hobday and my husband loved the IPA at Mash Paddle (I was a bit tipsy at this point and can't recall its name).

We'd definitely book again... perhaps next time the tour which includes cheese & charcuterie as we were ravenous by the end!

Paul’s tour was great. We learnt so much, tasted several different beers, had loads of fun, met some of the craft brewers, and discovered one of the least known areas of South London!

Paul is a friendly and very knowledgeable guide with an impressive background as a professional beer sommelier and competition judge. It was great to be shown around by someone with such passion for the craft, and the selection of beers was top notch. We couldn't have been happier with this tour.

Brilliant tour along the Bermondsey beer mile with Paul, who is a mine of fascinating information and historical facts. We both enjoyed ourselves immensely, and kudos to Paul who didn't cancel even though my partner and I were thr only people booked that day. Paul is also is a big fan of straight edge and punk, and has some good music stories! Great beer and good company, lovely day, thanks Paul.

Paul was personable, knowledgeable, friendly, and the beer was great. I learned a lot about the Bermondsey Beer Mile and associated breweries and taprooms as well as some local history. As a local (ish) it was a great experience and I hope to do another one and tell friends about it and get them involved. A great way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

From the off the Paul and Dave were friendly and extremely knowledgable, not only the beer styles and how to taste, but also the breweries and the local area. At each brewery we tried a different style and tasting methods. A great way to spend a Saturday in London for a beer fan. Thanks chaps!

An amazing experience with Paul, 100% recommended if you want to try something different in London and learn all about beer! I am not a beer drinker (husband is very much so) and this has really shown my tastebuds how different some beers can taste!

Our group brewery tour became a private tour for me and my husband (lucky us!). We have really enjoyed Paul's company during the 3-hour tour as well as his deep knowledge of the beer history and modern scene. I would strongly recommend it to everybody!
