What You Will Do

Come along for a Guided walk on William Shakespeare and the London he lived in!  We will visit Southwark Cathedral to see the resting place of his brother, an ancient Coaching Inn, see the remains of the Globe and the Rose Theatres. Starting at London Bridge, we will walk along the southbank to the Globe theatre and then across the bridge to explore his life on the north of the River Thames. It will take about 2 hours and finish near St Paul's.

Meeting Point

Meeting next to the London Bridge Experience.

Meeting at London Bridge Tube Station (Tooley St exit), across the road next to the London Bridge Experience. Starting at 1pm. You can't fail to spot me, I will be dressed up in period costume. We will walk about 2 miles, staring at London Bridge and finishing near St Paul's.  We will stop at various points, plaques to him and also visit Southwark Cathedral which was his parish church for a short period. During the walk I will tell you about him and how he changed the English language, his friends, contemporaries, his influences and what life in London was like in the late Elizabethan period.
