Taste & Tour: Guided Gin Tour in Belfast

The guide (Dave) was incredibly knowledgeable, so interesting! Bars were close walking distance, selection of gins was perfect, lots of laughs. Highly recommend as a fun day out.

Sarah was a delight. She guided my husband and I through out the streets of Belfast on a food and whiskey tour. She took us to a local cheese shop and tried some incredible cheeses, visited some lovely pubs and tasted different drinks. I am more of a tea drinker so was given the option of a cup of tea if I wished! I did try some whisky which was good. Sarah pointed out lots of historical buildings and facts and we had a lovely 3 hour tour. Highly recommended.

This was the perfect choice for our work Christmas do. The most delicious food, delicious drinks (to get us started) and a great tour guide who was knowledgeable, friendly and really good craic. Most of our colleagues had never experienced a Taste and Tour, and couldn't rate it highly enough!
The Brunch tour was a perfect start to our day in Belfast. Our next tour together will have to be the Gin Jaunt!

Not only was the food exceptional, the sightseeing stops were also interesting and informative. Your guides Rachel and Rosie were wonderful and shared interesting stories on Belfast’s turbulent past and successful rebirth.

Every food stop was tasty and special. Who would have known that the restaurant at City Hall served excellent sausage, egg & tomato sandwiches. Next up were the chocolate artisans, and I do mean artisans, at Co Couture for outstanding hot chocolate and candies. Then open-faced sandwiches and treats at Sawyers were wonderful (it’s a great store for treats to take home). Finally, we went to a pub for tasty seafood chowder or beef stew with wine or beer. All excellent!

We highly recommend Taste & Tour of Belfast.

Maeve was a fabulous tour guide. She has so much energy and clearly loves taking people around her city. The food was fantastic too as she highlighted local Belfast food stops!

A perfect afternoon for anyone who loves gin. Great bars, fantastic gins, delicious nibbles and mighty craic…

My wife and I went on the tour on Saturday 9th September, it was really enjoyable and well organised. Dave our tour was very knowledgeable and entertaining providing a good range of info on the gins, history and context. We sampled seven different gins/cocktails so I would classify it good value for money.
Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved the craft beer and food tour. Katie was so passionate about beer and there were so many cool places I had never been in Belfast. Really loved the two brew pubs we visited too and we got to try loadssss of beers. The food was great and we've already been back to the Sunflower for their pizza and beer! thank you!!!

Disappointing. We did the beer / food Taste and Tour, which one of our group had done about a year ago, and really enjoyed. However, the tour fell below expectations, and comparing the two experiences, our previous participant concluded the organisers had really cut back on what was on offer. We visited five venues, two of which provided no food. One provided a small, single slice of a savoury sausage roll each, and another provided pizza - not even enough for 2 slices each. Only the first venue provided a decent sampling of chicken wings. The last venue we visited was a shabby club. Perhaps it is a trendy local place (?), but as a tourist from overseas, it was very unimpressive; not a place I’d choose to go to. It was nice to take an afternoon walk round the city on what was a fine day, but we didn’t need to be on a tour to do so. It wasn’t an unpleasant experience, but one I wouldn’t recommend to other travellers to Belfast.

The guides were wonderful! I recommend doing this to anyone visiting Belfast ! We had a great time 🙂

Our Belfast Food tour was fabulous from start to finish. Our guide Maeve was super, full of energy with lots of interesting facts. Visited places in Belfast that I’d never been to before, had lovely food and drink. Great way to spend 4 hours. Will definitely book more tours/experiences.

What a fun way to spend a Rainey afternoon in Belfast celebrating a family birthday our host was Dave who was engaging and fun from start to finish and incredibly knowledgeable about the development of spirits but also the history of Belfast. All of the historical info was an added bonus which we whilst not tourists per se really enjoyed !! Loved the fact that the tour stops all had a historical significance to them and Dave liked to keep us guessing as to where we off to next !! The tour had a lovely relaxed atmosphere a great activity for a friends group or perhaps a work colleagues day we will certainly try some of the other tours!. Thank you Dave :)

We went on the Taste Tour of Belfast for a work team afternoon - it was absolutely brilliant. Our guide was really knowledgeable and friendly. We ate amazing food (definitely ask to visit the chocolate shop!) and some lovely drinks.

TASTE & TOUR, Belfast

After visiting the numerous stops on this tour - I really wish I lived in Belfast so I could regularly shop/visit each one!

Mauve was simply marvelous - funny, engaging, and unbelievably knowledgeable about all the little hidden gems in Belfast.
The four hours pass all too quickly and the amount of food and drink provided was impressive, to say the least. No one is leaving hungry or thirsty!

My ONLY constructive criticism is perhaps they should divide the tour between locals and visitors as some of the info is wasted on those of us who will not be able to become regular customers.

If you live in Belfast DO NOT miss this tour,
and even if you don't, you don't want to miss this tour.

This was a really great tour experience, made even better by our guide, Olivia. She was knowledgeable, friendly & engaging and kept us moving without it feeling rushed. There was something for everyone to enjoy in the many tasters we experienced. My personal highlights were the meze plate(especially the teardrop peppers), the hot chocolate and the cheese shop. The 4 hours passed in a flash,plus the weather was kind for strolling around Belfast.

What a fantastic tour! It's 4 solid hours long. Although you do have to walk a bit, its all on the flat, with the exception of a few stairs, but its not overpowering. Our guide was Olivia who was great. Very helpful and informative about all the venues we visited. There were 9 stops on the tour each had its own individuality to do with either food or drink or both. My favourite was the chocolatier, only because the host, Gary, was so informative. However, all venues were excellent. We are now looking at another one before summer ends. Well done Taste and Tours.
