What You Will Do
A once-in-a-lifetime adventure exploring iconic filming sites of Outlander with Scottish scenery, culture and history a long the way. Travel back in time and follow in the footsteps of Claire and Jamie as you visit the real-life setting of Castle Leoch, Lallybroch, Wentworth Prison, Cranesmuir, and the 1940's Inverness in one full day.

Itinerary
Meeting Point
This tour will depart at 8:45 am from 60 High Street, The Royal Mile, Edinburgh, EH1 1TB. Meet 15 minutes before departure and look for the check-in staff wearing blue high-visibility vests there to greet you.

Blackness Castle

Visit the historic Blackness Castle in Linlithgow, which represented Fort William in Outlander, the setting of Captain Jack Randall's worst acts of violence.

- It is recommended to book transport to the departure point in advance. Please also allow extra time to get to the departure point for check-in. We advise you arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour departure to allow time to check-in for the tour. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold the bus or refund for any late arrivals.
- Return times are approximate and subject to road conditions and weather. Please ensure you allocate sufficient time for any onward travel plans, allowing at least 3 hours after the scheduled return time for connections or activities.
- This tour may run in conjunction with our sister company, Highland Explorer Tours.
- Collapsible wheelchairs with removable wheels can be accommodated providing the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them to board and disembark.
- Minimum age to travel is 5.
- Midhope Castle will be closed November 2024 the following dates, and we'll visit Linlithgow Palace in its place: Tues 12th, Sat 16th, Mon 18th, Tues 26th,Thurs 28th
- Midhope Castle is closed for the season from December 2024 to end of March 2025 and will be substituted with Linlithgow Palace
- There are days when a castle may be closed for filming or other reasons. The tour will then include Linlithgow Palace in its place as an exterior visit.
