AGW Tours are terrible!
2025-05-07
AGW is horrible! Worst excursion we've ever had! Leroy was late, wasn't in the location designated to pick us up...was basically parked behind a building out of sight so we all believe he was hiding so he could say we didn't show up! He was rude to say the least. If Viator continues to use AGW we will never book through them again! We really deserve a complete refund for this horrendous experience! We will watch Viators site and if they continue to use AGW we will not book anything with them! And certainly won't recommend them!!

Aruba was beautiful. We were late getting picked over 20 minutes which cut into our excursion. Our driver was Leroy. We were told to be at our pickup spot at 1:30 in front of the Diamond store as others were being pick up there as well. We asked another driver with the same company who said for us to wait in that spot but it wasn't until 2:20 that we were picked up behind a building off of the street. We tried to communicate with the company and didn't get a response. We had to find Leroy who was walking down by where the people were getting off of the cruise ship. Went to the first stop of the beach which was 20 min back by 3:25. We got back, and Leroy was off in the back hanging out, but we got started to the cave at 3:30. We headed to the park with the cave and security guard was upset with the driver that we did not have a wrist band. Guard was upset about us being late as gate was shut and we went thru the opposite gate. I know different languages are spoken in Aruba but none of what went on was spoken in English but could tell the guard wasn't happy. Got to the cave and the people there were not happy with the driver either. We apologized later to one of the Park rangers but he knew that it wasn't us. Getting to the tide pool and rushing we were getting tossed around pretty good as the bench seating in this vehicle wasn't the best and one of the ladies buckle didn't work well to keep her strapped in. Leroy was our driver and we understood that the roads were rocky and just part of the experience. However, being late was forcing him to drive faster and at times unsafe. We get to the tidal pool by at the ocean and one of the ladies mentioned the ride and the driver got rude with her about just going back and ending the trip as he had already done the trip 3 times that day. His comments and how he treated her were classless. It was Leroy's fault we were late as we were just being hurried because of the time and ride was bad. Never did Leroy ever help the ladies down from the back of the bed of the truck. Leroy would unlatch it the back and start talking with other drivers of other jeep excursions. Two of the ladies should have been helped guided down the stairs but instead Leroy ran ahead of us. Going back was a disaster the way he drove as we were ready to get back and he drove out of control with people in the back. Leroy tried to say he thought we had to be back by 6:00 but none of our ships were leaving til later. Leroy was upset because one of the ladies said something about the roads as we were hitting things real hard. We yelled at him and told him we needed to get back alive. No call for him to treat customers like that as he was just wanting to be a jerk. Leroy needs to do something else as he wasn't on time, had a poor attitude and got a feeling he was speaking with the rangers about us being late as he wouldn't speak English to them in front of us. However, they spoke English to us but I know they didn't want us to go in the cave. The way he drove back until we yelled at him endangered the safety of the passengers. If that truck would have turned over it would have been bad news for him. Other jeeps we saw were also more suitable for the terrain with harness belts and places for the passengers to hold on. Would not ever recommend Leroy as he is rude and not on time, or the jeep truck for anyone to ever see Aruba. Leroy driving like that because he was late could end up getting people hurt as lap belts are not enough with him driving the way he did thru the mountains. Other truck jeeps that we saw were much better equipped to handle the road. Still tipped as he was at the end of the ladder when the trip was finished with his hand out. 2 star rating is very kind
Worth it.

We took the jeep tour to conchi, cave, and Baby Beach. Everyone in the office was as friendly as could be. Johnathon, our Tour Guide, was intelligent, knowledgeable, and personable. If I wasn't such a good husband, my wife would have fallen in love with him.
The ride is very bumpy, and the walk back up from Conchi makes me wish I quit smoking years ago. The rocks in the pool (Conchi) are slippery, so be careful.
Enjoy yourself. It was definitely worth the price. Please be sure to tip your guide if s/he does a good job, or even if s/he is having a bad day and doesn't do a great job.
I rate the tour as a difficulty of 4/10 because of the walk down to Conchi and back up. I rate the tour 10/10 and Johnathon 20/10
