Captain Justin was so friendly and we had a great time on his boat. My husband and I had our 7-yr old with us, and because we had to wake him up so early, he was extremely cranky. Captain Justin was so patient with us all, and he knew all the good spots to take us, even when we weren’t sure what to do. We did some snorkeling, did a little fishing and went to a crystal clear beach. I couldn’t recommend this experience enough. Thanks Captain Justin for showing us a great time!

Had an amazing day with Captain Justin and Johnathan and caught a huge variety of fish. They both kept the day fun, yet provided some great lessons throughout as we were novice fishermen. Afterwards they cleaned a few of the fish and we went to a restaurant next door where our catch was prepared for lunch which was another great experience. I would highly recommend this excursion as it was the highlight of our entire cruise. Thanks again guys!

Justin was the best. He worked all four lines trying to get us a Tuna for our birthday. We loved our experience. We did catch some Strawberry Groupers, took them to the Poop Deck and cooked them for our lunch. We highly recommend this trip and hopefully you will get Justin.

Reading the reviews ahead of time for Reel Dreams and Captain Justin we found the experience to be legit!

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time with Justin and Jordan on our 4 hour trip. Slow day fishing but still were able to catch a Tuna and Barracuda. Native to the Bahamas, Justin knew the locations for a true ocean fishing experience and did not disappoint.

Definitely would recommend Reel Dreams Fishing Charter.

As a side note, our family had a mix of fishing and non fishing guests. We had one person in our family experience motion sickness and was not a pleasant day for her. Come prepared to be on the ocean in large waves. Recommend taking dramamine ahead of time or staying behind if uncomfortable with ups and downs/large waves.

Lastly, Poop Deck restaurant directly in front of the boat docks will cook any fresh catch/fish for a very enjoyable post fishing charter meal/lunch/dinner. 😊

Captain Sam and Deckhand Chris were fantastic. The main part of our trip was to scatter cremains. Captain Sam took me too Rose Island which was an appropriate place to scatter ashes. Both of them were respectful and did not try to rush me. They gave me hugs at the end of our trip knowing what a difficult task I had just done on our trip.

We went fishing afterwards and had a great time catching fish and they were so friendly and personable. This was a great experience outside of the resorts. Captains Sam was knowledgeable about the areas to fish.

I recommend this fishing charter on Reel Dreams. It is worth it.

Great excursion with Justin! He was a fantastic host on our excursion. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is that we didn't really catch anything of note. Totally not the fault of Reel Dreams. That's why they call it "fishing" and not "catching". I would highly recommend this excursion!

We were on a cruise and this was for my three adult kids. They contacted me early that morning to share that there was a festival happening and it would be tough to get a cab so they would just meet us waterfront! So nice to not have to navigate the mess. Kids jumped on and they trolled for a bit and weren’t doing so well so Capt changed it up and then they got into some good fishing. Caught several including a triggerfish. They had a blast and spoke so highly of the Capt sharing that it was a good trip that he made great with his personality and stories. All three would highly recommend. I would highly recommend due to his communication with me and how chatty the kids were when they got back.

When we told our 9-yr-old son that we were going to the Bahamas, his very first question was, "Can we go fishing in the ocean?!" That took me to a TripAdvisor search for fishing charters, and I only came across great reviews for Reel Dreams. We are from Wisconsin, so we are used to fishing only in lakes for perch, walleye, panfish, etc. :) We did a morning trip (~7:50am til noon), and we started with deep sea trolling. They got a blackfin tuna on and let our son reel it in - so awesome. Then we continued trolling without any luck, so Captains Justin and Jonathan (the best guys!) said they would take us in to the reef to fish off the bottom. They got all 3 of us with poles, and as soon as we had our lines down, they started biting and didn't stop! We caught strawberry grouper, yellowtail snapper, and white grunts pretty much nonstop. Once we had about 14 fish, our time was up, so we headed back to the docks. Capt Justin cleaned all of the fish for us, and he highly suggested taking our catch right upstairs to the Poop Deck restaurant where they would cook them up for us for lunch. Since it was just the 3 of us, and we had SO many fillets, we took only a couple bags with us, and sent the rest of the fillets home with our trusty captains to enjoy. The fish was the BEST we had ever had, and it was such a fun way to end our fantastic experience with getting to eat what we caught. Highly recommend Reel Dreams for an amazing charter fishing experience in the Bahamas ~ we can't wait to go back some day!

Our trip with Captain Justin was simply AMAZING! Captain Justin was a TRUE professional as he was a fantastic host and he was very fun, friendly, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable about the area. We went fishing and caught a lot of fish. We went snorkeling and saw several beautiful sea turtles. And we went to a nice little private beach at the end of our excursion. Simply put, I would STRONGLY recommend booking an excursion with Captain Justin - it is worth every penny and is a TON of fun!

Our group of 4 (parents and two boys 12 and 15) were in Nassau for one day on a cruise. We booked the afternoon charter with Captain Justin. Our cruise left earlier than we had planned so we had less time than expected. Justin did a great job though of fitting in everything we wanted to do. We did some reef fishing, with a couple of nice catches and some near misses. We also got to swim with a sea turtle and snorkel on a coral reef. To top it off Justin made a special drop off near the cruise ship to maximize our time on the water. I’d highly recommend spending the day with Justin.

Our captain Justin was very experienced, unfortunately the day we choose was rough seas, however he managed to find a few drops where we caught some small fish. My grandsons enjoyed every minute. I would highly recommend this charter. The crew are very friendly, respectful and full of fun.

Absolute HORRIBLE fishing trip with captain Justin. Trolled for 5 hours with no fish, he only checked the lines twice in 5 hours. We finally told him we didn’t want to troll we just wanted to catch a few fish to take back to eat. He did not listen and took us reef fishing for the last 15 minutes of the trip, with only one fish. I have worked on a charter boat for several years in alabama as a first mate, and that is totally unacceptable, the PAYING crew always comes first. If the fish were not cooperating with us on our charters we would extend the charter 3-4 hours and get it done, we would always make sure our clients had enough to eat and had a good time before we brought them in. DO NOT waste your money on this charter company unless you enjoy not catching fish.

What really disappointed us is that after 6 hours, we caught one small yellowtail. Our captain didn’t seem motivated to try anything different. Unfortunately the worst charter we have been on, we are deckhands ourselves so we understand harder days vs good days, however this wasn’t just a hard day, if our captain had been actively working and not resetting our trawl lines more than once an hour I would be convinced otherwise. Complete waste of time. There’s a reason they don’t update instagram often. They don’t actually care about getting the catch, just about the payout. If you want to catch fish I recommend finding a different charter. We walked away without a single filet. And I walked away without even touching a pole,

We had the best time! Was patient, kind, educational, and adapted to everything we wanted during our time.

The fishing guides made sure it was fun even though it took awhile before we started catching fish!!
