Half day private city tour

While this is on the pricier side, I booked this private tour as a way to maximize our time in Montreal and avoid waiting for a crowded tour bus. The four hours allowed my party of three people to see several sights and spend as little (or as much) time as we wanted at each. We appreciated having our informative tour guide and an air-conditioned car waiting for us after every stop. Our tour included stops at Notre Dame Basilica, the Old Port, the Formula 1 race track on Notre Dame Island, two look-out points on Mont Royal, the city of Westmont, St. Joseph's Oratory, and Atwater Market. Some caveats:
1. We spent about 30 minutes each at the Basilica (admission fee is extra) and the Oratory (free); if you want to spend more time at either, I would suggest doing a separate visit.
2. It's sometime a bit difficult to take photos from a car, especially of larger buildings (vs. an open-air bus, for example). Our driver was very accommodating and offered to pull over to the side of the road whenever we wanted to pause.
3. If there are sights that you want to specifically see, I would recommend contacting the company in advance to see what might be possible. For example, I could have done without the Formula 1 track, even though it was nice to see Habitat 67 which is in the same area.

Buzz was a fabulous tour guide and the car was luxurious and very comfortable. We saw so much on this tour and learned a lot about this amazing city. I highly recommend this tour.

We loved our tour of Montreal with our excellent & experienced driver “Buzz.” He showed us all the highlights…Mt Royal views, a tour of St Joseph’s Oratory, a stop for fresh fruits at Jean Talon Market. We had the famous Montreal bagels, saw Chinatown, little Italy & McGill university. We even drove the Fomula 1 circuit!! Couldn’t have been a more pleasant day!! Merci boucoup! Highly recommend this tour.

The tour was really pleasant. Our guide was very professional and friendly. Car was comfortable and arrived on time. Pierre ( our guide) showed us very good spots for a great pictures and gave us a lot information about the city of Montreal.

Got very lucky with this tour. Four hours in a comfort of a car while snowing and freezing temperatures was just what we needed. Since it was a private tour we had an option of going into a place or not, driving around and seeing what was really interesting to us and making stops as we needed and adjusting the route. The driver/the guide made it fun and relaxing with a great atmosphere

Patrick was e6xcellent. Knowledgeable and very respectful. Took us everywhere we wanted to go and made great suggestions.

Our experience was mixed. The driver was half an hour late. He was rude about it and said it was traffic. That set a bad tone for the excursion. The driver was very helpful with my 82 year old mom and made sure she could get in and out of the car. The driver was very knowledgeable about Montreal. What we didn’t like is when my 82 year old mother asked to go to a particular place that was 10 minutes from where we were, the driver said he couldn’t do so and turned the car around and drove back to the hotel. This seemed like a company that didn’t go the extra mile. (Literally). This is an expensive tour, but without the white glove service.
