VIP City Bus From San José

The guide, driver, and guitarist were great! I learned a ton about the city and the double decker bus ride was a little thrilling—-an extra perk! 😂 There’s only a couple things I would note—-we didn’t know until the end that a separate shuttle was going to bring us back to our hotel (not a big deal). We also didn’t spend more than 15-20 minutes in the Central Market (understandable with the schedule, but disappointing nonetheless) and were ushered into a very specific vendor stall. It was clear they had an arrangement and although the souvenirs were nice, we could find the same at the hotel and airport gift shops for a similar price. It would have been nice to wander a little more and be able to purchase from other vendors. Lastly, lunch was included and was pretty good, despite it being a bubble tea house.

All in all, it was a great way to spend the day. The museums and sights were beautiful and the guide provided a wealth of history. I would definitely recommend the tour to anyone! Thanks again for a great day!

This tour of San Jose was well worth the time. We got a good impression of city life in Costa Rica's captital city incudling the National Art Gallery, the bustling central market, the city's largest cathedral, and the elegant National Theater. We were entertianed by a regional folk guitarist on the bus, the classic casodo meal was excellent, and we learned about Costa Rican history as well. Highly recommended.

Hector was awesome: knowledgeable, patient, and a great leader. He doesn’t d a great job talking about significant locations in San Jose. There also was a fun musical accompaniment to our tour. He was very talented . We had a fantastic time, including lunch.
