Cap Cana Private Family Catamaran

We went out on a family trip and the crew was amazing! We snorkeled and they took us to see the yellow reef ( and even through I thought I was a strong swimmer 1 of the crew help me get back to the boat totally went above and beyond). Then we anchored off on the sand bar and went swimming for a while. I am not usually 1 to write a review but they by far exceeded my expectations.

Had an outstanding day with Atlantida Punta Cana aboard a 34 ft fun cat. Captain Andres and and Lewis were very professional and friendly, great with the teenage kids. They made us feel very welcome. The boat was clean and well kept, snorkeling gear was cleaned and sanitized before our use.

The fun cat is not ideal as a fishing platform, but Captain Andres found tarpon and we had two hookups on large fish.

We highly recommend this 4-Hour trip for a wonderful relaxing day and family fun!

EXCEPTIONAL is all we can say. Awesome snorkeling and cruising for the afternoon. Cannot wait to go back with the kids and do it again. And the first mates shirt said it all. Private is Better. And Very very inexpensive.

Carlos and Wilken gave us a great experience for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). We fished a couple of hours and snorkeled and beach time for the remaining 2 hours. Very attentive and safe crew. Thanks guys!

First time ever experiencing a private boat tour. Kelvin (captain) & jose (Skipper) were great to my family& I. They provided us with free drinks and supported any music we wanted to play. During our tour of 11 foot deep water we snorkeled and kelvin guided us smoothly threw the water with his life preserver as the fish swam below us. Definitely will do this again next time in cap cana.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our PRIVATE cruise. We left the Cap Cana Marina dock on the "Rich & Famous" around 9 am and returned around 1 pm. The crew, Ariel and Nono were super friendly and helpful. Nono even taught my 6 year grandson to snorkel when we couldn't do it LOL. The crew are amazing with the little ones. We did some off-shore fishing and caught fish within a few minutes, much to the delight of my grandson. We then snorkeled on the off-shore reef for a bit along with some swimming in the natural swimming pool. Then we did some more fishing and again caught within minutes. We stopped again for some more snorkeling and swimming. We listened to music of our choice but let them decide as we love local Dominican music. We also had snacks, water, beer and rum provided to us. What an excellent trip and can't wait to do it again. Going PRIVATE is truly the best, you feel like a star!!!!

We had such a great time on the Catamaran! We enjoyed the privacy with our family and friends! We would book again!!! Such a great memory!

I was told by my resort, "In regards to the Sunset Cruise, we highly recommend Atlántida Tour that is private for the party, the price variety depends how many people will make the excursion. They will come to the hotel and pick you up. The excursion is about 4 hours in length and the boat leaves from an exclusive dock in the beautiful marina. During this excursion an open bar and snacks will be readily available for them. The price of this excursion is $750.00. from one (1) to four (4) people. The boat that will be used is a luxury motorized catamaran. The luxury 34' foot, custom built power cruiser "Rich and Famous" has everything you will need for a great time, including shower and bathroom facilities and an open bar. Life jackets, snorkeling gear as well as a full medical kit and safety equipment are all on board and a stern boarding ladder makes getting in and out of the water a breeze." Sounds great and as it was recommended by my resort I had confidence in booking the trip. Big mistake! This description is highly deceptive. We actually asked to be brought back to the dock after 2 long hours on board. The boat which I was told was called "The Rich and Famous" was nothing more than a loud commercial grade Catamaran that I would expect would bring larger groups out to snorkel, scuba or fish. I was nauseated by the smell of fuel. Just basic bench seating on both sides ..There was nothing remotely luxurious or relaxing about it. My request was for a sunset cruise and snorkeling. (My family loves to snorkel.) I was told that there was not much snorkeling around the island, but the boat could take us to an area that was good. They took us to a snorkeling location that was horrible, with nothing to see but sea grass... and an occasional fish. And that was all they had planned for 4 hours of private charter. They didn't have enough snorkel gear for my family of 5. My 12 yo daughters fins broke while she was in the water and they could not offer her a replacement because they didn't have any. The water was rough and my husband had to help her back to the boat. They did not have children's gear or a comfortable life jacket for my youngest to use for pleasure in the water. (They had the bright orange "In case of emergency"uncomfortable/ awkward life jackets that no child wears comfortably.) Their "Open Bar and Snacks" was literally a single bag of tortilla chips and a jar of Tostitos cheesy salsa dip (that's it) and some water. .. I think my husband was offereda beer. It was literally awful. At the dock, they charged us the full price ($750) and called the taxi. Oh, the taxi, another experience...To begin with, the taxi that picked us up and dropped us off would never have passed a safety inspection let alone offer any comfort or luxury. My seat was broken and wobbling around as the taxi drove, all of the AC vents were literally smashed and broken, the speedometer and gauges in the dashboard were completely non functioning.. it was bad. And the driver was on his cell the entire time home. I would never recommend this to anyone. t's literally a fraud. Sadly, I hate to admit it, but it did put a damper on my vacation because I literally love boats and our boat charter has always been a favorite of mine on previous trips to the islands. It was also scheduled for the afternoon before we left, so I still felt bad about it when we left to come home. Our captain was Arielle and his mate Sammy. They were both pleasant and kind, but spoke very little English which made communication a little challenging.

My wife and I did a private 1/2 day charter. Crew was very friendly and helpful. The office staff was easy to deal with for booking and you can handle payment with PayPal. The Suburban pickup at our resort was on time as was the return.

We went snorkeling on the off shore reef. Saw many fish, conch, sea urchin. Reef is bleached out in a lot of places but there was still a variety of coral.We later went to the natural swimming pool, which is a very large waist deep sand bar about 1/2 mile off shore where we waded in the water, listened to music and had some beverages. The trip was excellent!
