This museum is composed of the archaeological area, comprised of the ruins complex of what was the most important ceremonial temple of Tenochtitlan; and also has its own museum in which all kinds of archaeological pieces of Tenochtitlan are exhibited (pre-, during and post-colony), highlighting the historical and cultural aspects of the time, as well as the customs and customs, and the traditions of war. Great tour! It was just our guide, Tiare, and our family, which was perfect for us since we have a young child and weren’t sure if we could keep up with a large tour group. We went at our pace and she was very receptive to our desires for bathroom breaks for our youngest, looks around the corner at items that weren’t necessarily on the tour route, etc. It was a fantastic experience. To be clear, this tour only includes the Templo Mayor and the associated museum. No tour of the Zocalo or surrounding area at all, which was exactly what I was looking for.

Maite was fantastic! She knew so much about every single area outside Templo Mayor and in the Museum. I didn't feel rushed as she took her time as moved from area to area. As a beggining Spanish learner she even helped me by switching back and forth from both languages and quizzing me (how awesome!). On a personal note, Maite was very kind, soft spoken, and just seemed to be a genuinely nice person. Great experience!
