What You Will Do

The tour begins in the center of Guanajuato and heads towards the Cerro del Cubilete, where the Cristo Rey Monument is located. During the journey, visitors can admire the beautiful view of the region and learn more about the local history and culture. Once at the top of Cerro del Cubilete, tourists will have the opportunity to explore the Santuario de Cristo Rey church, one of the most visited places by the Catholic population of the Mexican people. After the visit to the sanctuary, the tour heads towards the typical food area on the slopes of Cerro del Cubilete, where visitors can enjoy delicious local food and learn more about the gastronomic culture of the region.

Cerro del cubilete

Cerro del Cubilete is an emblematic mountain located in Guanajuato, Mexico. It is known for its monumental statue of Christ the King, which is located on top of the hill and is one of the largest in the world. Construction of the Cristo Rey statue began in 1944 and was completed in 1947. It was erected as a monument to peace and to commemorate the end of the Cristero War in Mexico. Cerro del Cubilete is also a place of great religious importance for Mexican Catholics, who consider it a sacred and pilgrimage site. In addition, it offers an impressive view of the city of Guanajuato and its surroundings. This was a good tour, I think it was a little too long for me, maybe because I had just landed and immediately had this tour that lasted almost 5 hours, however my tour guide was awesome very nice and friendly and the food stop was so good
