Meeting Point
The meeting point is at "El Cerrito" archeological site's main entrance on Miguel Hidalgo Street, only 30 steps away from an Oxxo shop (Miguel Hidalgo Street and Don Bsoco Av.) in the Queretaro's suburb of "El Pueblito", just 50min. to 1 hour driving from San Miguel de Allende.
El Cerrito Archaeological Zone
Hundreds of years before the Aztec's domain in central Mexico, another, even wider empire was the centre of the Meso-American power and culture. The city of Chichén-Itzá in Yucatán marked its southern influential border while, "El Cerrito" in Querétaro marked its border to the north. In this experience you'll know the archeological site, the local museum, understanding the temporal and geographical importance of this monument, the nation that built it, and the enormus influence of the Toltecas in the Aztec culture.
