Perched atop a hill, the Panama Canal Administration Building is a majestic structure built in Italian Renaissance style, standing proudly for over a century. It houses the central administrative offices of the Panama Canal, one of the greatest engineering achievements in history.
A remarkable architectural feature is its E-shaped layout, carefully designed to make optimal use of natural light throughout the day. Built in 1914, it was a symbol of innovation and progress, with a construction cost of $879,000 USD, an extraordinary investment at the time.

Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador)

We’ll visit the Amador Causeway, a scenic roadway connecting Panama City to the islands of Naos, Culebra, Perico, and Flamenco. Built in 1913 using rocks from the Canal’s construction, this iconic site offers stunning panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean entrance to the Panama Canal and the city's modern skyline.
The causeway is popular for its relaxed atmosphere, ideal for walking, biking, or enjoying the ocean breeze. Along the way, you’ll spot restaurants, cafés, and the striking Biomuseo, designed by famed architect Frank Gehry, which celebrates Panama’s rich biodiversity.
