Guadalupe Wine Valley Tour

I organized this trip for my friends visiting Baja for the first time and it did not disappoint. I was asked for a few places that I wanted to visit and they handled putting together an itinerary and reservations. Our driver for the day was Chris. He messaged me early on to arrange pickup and arrived exactly when he said he would. He was an excellent host for the day making sure we got where we needed to go and that we had a great time. All-in-all I'm very happy with the experience and will definitely use Baja Rides and Tours again for future trips.

Our group had the pleasure of visiting several outstanding wineries, including Relieve Winery, Vinos Merlot, Vinas de Garza, Oja, and Casa Frida. Each stop offered a unique and delightful experience, showcasing the diversity and excellence of the wines in Valle de Guadalupe.

Marco, our tour guide, was an absolute gem. From the moment we met him, his enthusiasm and knowledge about the region were contagious. Our first stop was at Relieve Winery, and Marco's introduction set the tone for the day. He provided us with fascinating insights into the winery's history, the winemaking process, and the unique characteristics of their wines. I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the picturesque landscape to the warm hospitality, everything exceeded my expectations. Our guide was exceptionally accommodating and made our experience even more enjoyable. Upon learning about our interest in horse riding, they kindly arranged for a change in the itinerary, replacing one of the winery visits with a horseback riding adventure. This gesture truly made our day.

I cannot say enough about our trip! We had such a wonderful time! Christian organized such a fantastic day starting with breakfast at Dona Esthela with a birthday song and cake via notification by Christian. We had our three children with us so he organized wineries that were kid friendly plus had delicious wine. We stopped by local artisan bread and cheese shops. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!! Thank you for such a fun day!!

From beginning to end, everything was perfect! After booking, they immediately reached out to help build an itinerary (went to Relieve, Casa Frida, and Decantos). Marco was exceptional. :) He was helpful and kind! He took pictures of us and always answered any questions we had. We felt very safe! Since we were celebrating two birthdays, he surprised us with a little cake at the first stop and las mañanitas at the second. We highly highly recommend!

I planned this tour for my mom, my sister and myself. We felt extremely safe with our expert driver and tour guide! As soon as I booked the trip, Eric contacted me on WA to align on the itinerary. He sent recommendations for wineries, hotels, restaurants and instructions on crossing the border. Listen to Eric! I followed his advice on one of the three wineries (Relieve) and it was our favorite! I also booked the restaurant he recommended (Animalon) and it had the most amazing service, ambiance and food!

Rain was in the forecast for our tour date and it did not let up. Chris was our driver and he expertly navigated all the dirt roads, pot holes, and hydroplaning. He reassured us the entire time and we got to VDG safely and on time. It was quite the adventure, but we felt extremely safe and well taken care of.

We had such a great experience that we booked them for the following day for our return travel to the border. Chris again showed up on time and took an alternate route so we could see a different side of VDG.

We couldn’t find a tour that met our needs. We wanted to do a micro brewery, wineries and good food without having to be locked into a group or cancellation if they didn’t get the numbers. Baja rides and tour offered everything we wanted. Chris was very knowledgeable and met our every need including contact the day before. Thanks Chris and team

Fenomenal! Exceeded my expectations! I can’t stress it enough how much I enjoyed my birthday trip to Valle De Guadalupe. I absolutely appreciate my tour guide, Cris, who gave us exceptional service. Since the start of booking my tour, he and his team were great on communicating with me via text message regarding my itinerary for the day. I had actually done my own research on wineries/restaurants and they accommodated my requests. I was able to adjust my itinerary with his recommendations while also doing some of the things I originally had in mind. Everything was well explained since the start. We had constant communication. We arrived to TJ by walking the border. We then took off to Ensenada. I wanted to eat breakfast so he recommended us a spot-Salvia Blanca (great service and drinks!). We then went to Frida Winery (A MUST SEE! Highly recommend). Then he took us to Decantos Vinícola, another great location with a tour to their winery process. Finally, to my request, we headed to Los Portales de Garcia restaurant. Another great location to end the night with live music, food and great cocktails. All of this was made possible by Baja Rides & Tours. I had a great time while feeling safe with Cris as my private tour guide. I can’t thank him enough. I can’t wait to re-book for my second trip to VDG in the summer!

Where do I start, Chris was great and an exceptional person. Made us feel right at home and taught us many new things and history on Tijuana. Will definitely book this tour guide in the future due to great service and simplicity of doing business. If I could give 100 stars I would, no exaggeration on this tour. We had such an amazing day trip, thanks to Baja Rides and Tours! Our tour guide, Marco, met us promptly right across the border, which was super easy. He also made all the winery reservations and dinner reservations for us! Marco was great, took pictures and videos of our tour all day and was super friendly! I highly recommend this company!

My husband and I signed up for a Wine Valley tour and then decided to skip the wine valley and focus on touring Tijuana. Our day trip started at the US-Tijuana pedestrian border crossing.
Our guide, Marco, was waiting for us on the Mexico side of the border and we began our tour with breakfast. We were welcomed by the original owner of a historical taco place and Marco gave us recommendations for breakfast of tacos birria (tender stewed beef with spices) before heading out on our drive to Playa Tijuana. We found the “big beautiful wall” was not so beautiful but enjoyed the murals at Playa Tijuana.
Next we spent some time walking and riding through downtown Tijuana, visiting a museum, street markets, and other attractions and landmarks until it was time to visit the grand Caesar’s Hotel and try the original Caesar Salad. The salad was made table-side, and was delicious and perfect to keep us nourished for the afternoon of more touring ending with a visit to the modern City Center aquarium and botanical garden.
After a day of touring, we headed about 30 minutes down the Baja Peninsula to Puerto Nuevo for a seafood dinner. We couldn’t resist the musicians and requested Ceilito Lindo to complete our day.
We were glad to focus our tour on the culture, history, and food of Tijuana, and Marco provided a personalized tour that went far beyond our expectations.

Marco made our experience memorable!
For starters, he greeted us at the pickup location on time and gave us a rundown of what to expect throughout the day. He gave us a few history lessons along the way to Valle de Guadalupe and even stopped to see the Castillo del Diablo. We went to 3 different wineries but my favorite was Casa Frida. The wine and chocolate pairings there were awesome so make sure to add this to your itinerary! Overall, this was a great experience and I would definitely book again :)

Eric turned a one day trip to Valle de Guadalupe into a week's worth of memories! He knew exactly where to take us, maximizing every stop and hour of the day. We ate well, drank better, and got to see this magical play just 90 minutes from the border. With over 100 wineries to visit, we'll be back, and we'll look forward to booking Eric again!

I highly recommend this tour with Baja Rides and Tours! After submitting a booking, they contacted us promptly to plan all of the logistics. Angel was a great driver, picked us up from our hotel on time, and brought us to some amazing vineyards. He was a very safe and smooth driver, and friendly to chat with and get to know. 10/10 would book again and I plan to in the future

We just visited Guadalupe Valle with Marco and it was truly the best experience! We were staying in San Diego, and Marco was able to guide us so that we could not only park our car near the border but also cross into Tijuana. Everything was very simple and safe! Once in Guadalupe Valle, we went to 3 different wineries. Make sure you ask to go to Frannes and Norte 32- these were our top 2 favorites because the wine was soooo delicious!!! Be prepared to buy at least one wine bottle and take it back with you. Overall, Marco was stupendous!!!! I highly recommend this wine tour. You are going to have such a blast in Mexico’s very own “Napa Valley”….

We had a great experience with our tour guide Marco. He was polite, on time, and very knowledgeable of the Valle de Guadalupe! He took us to 3 amazing wineries, each very unique and exceptional service. Some of the best wines I’ve had down in the Valle! We will definitely be back and will be using Baja Rides and Tours!
