Haunted Whaley House Admission

This tour was so fun & our guide Oakley was amazing. We learned alot of history of the Whaley family & San Diego. We went a 6:40pm, so it wasn’t too dark for the kids.

I travel the world for work and always take ghost and cryptid tours when I can. I booked a tour of the Whaley house while staying in old town. Unfortunately I didn’t see any spirits that night but the guide I had (clementine) is possibly the best ghost tour guide I have ever had. Will definitely tour again hoping to experience more and will request clementine again if possible

My husband and I decided to do the nighttime tour and when we called to change our tickets, they were extremely helpful and so nice.
Our tour guide was amazing and made the experience so much more fun! Ask for Bullet!

We unfortunately did not get to attend because the baby got sick. I have no doubt that it was amazing! Next time, can't wait!!!

Very disappointed Don’t waste your money or time. Many more free exhibits to see. This is all hype with no reward.

The people working were nice enough, very helpful, but to call this a tour is a bit hyperbolic. It is a "self guided" tour and that is literal. There is one film about a San Diego State Study of an archeological dig at the house, and then there are signs and pictures with written information. There are no movies or videos about the house and its haunted history. There are interesting photos, but it is pretty bare bones. They tell you there are "tour guides" inside the house willing to help, but my granddaughter couldn't find them and had to go back outside to the admissions desk to find someone who could answer her question. That individual was very kind and helpful and reminded us there were people inside who could help, if we could find them. Finally found one sitting in the courthouse portion of the house. She did not look up or address us as we entered. We did see one other "guide" who reminded us to not touch the artifacts. (We were leafing through an open record book that looked like we should look through it?) In other words, that guide was more like a security individual at an art museum than a "guide."

Maybe that's all $40 bucks get you for two adults and a kid, but my granddaughter was really looking forward to hearing about the "Most Haunted House" in America, and there was really nothing about that on any of the posts or pictures. Just disappointing. Again, the people were kind, but the tour, is not a tour.
