What You Will Do

There are two Chinatowns, one that you see from a van or bus, and the one that can only be experienced on foot in the back alleys, food markets, and local restaurants. One Chinatown, the one from the bus, is interesting. Our Chinatown will surprise you with new adventures around every corner. In our Chinatown, artisans form Fortune Cookies by hand. In our Chinatown, artisans practice their craft in small alleys using techniques handed down for thousands of years. And in our Chinatown, the authentic cuisine will enliven your senses with new flavors, smells, and aromas. We'll explore exotic and unique Asian produce, herbs, and teas from the very people who know them best. We'll uncover their hidden secrets only intrepid locals know. And you'll be astonished by the new finds in secret alcoves. We'll spend about three hours eating everything from Dim Sum, fortune cookies, teas, and more.

We did a 10:30 start time, which was perfect. The tour started with a little snack, but then we did some walking and learning before starting the true tastings, so arrive hungry but not starving. Food items were slightly adventurous but still comfortable for all palettes on our tour. Isabella our guide was informative and more than accommodating.
Okay but nothing special

The food was okay but nothing special. I think I'd have done better finding one restaurant with good recommendations on my own. The Chinese markets where residents shop for ingredients unusual to me were the best part of the tour.
I recommend this tour!

Ryan was an excellent tour guide. He taught us about so much more than food! He knows so much about the history and culture of the area. Our host at the tea room was excellent..... she added to the experience by her kindness and energy. Food was delicious, although it didn't seem to be as much food as I've been served on other food and walking tours around the world.
