1
The White House
12 minutes
The most famous residence in America is also one of its most haunted, with ghostly figures seen roaming the halls for centuries. Staff and guests have reported the eerie presence of Abraham Lincoln, pacing near his old bedroom, and Dolley Madison, fiercely protecting her beloved rose garden. Even Winston Churchill refused to sleep here again after encountering Lincoln’s apparition near his bathtub.
2
The President's Park
12 minutes
By day, this sprawling park is a place of history and beauty, but at night, ghostly figures wander its pathways. Spirits of former guards and lost souls from D.C.'s past have been seen lurking near the statues, disappearing into the mist. Some claim to hear whispers on the wind—disembodied voices recounting secrets of the nation’s past.
3
Blair House
12 minutes
Known as the "President’s Guest House," Blair House has seen both dignitaries and death. During a failed assassination attempt in 1950, two police officers were shot, and their spirits are said to still stand watch. Guests have reported sudden chills, phantom gunshots, and an uneasy feeling—as if unseen eyes are always watching.
4
Eisenhower Executive Office Building
12 minutes
This grand building may be stunning, but the spirits trapped inside tell a darker story. Phantom footsteps echo through its ornate halls, and shadowy figures are often spotted moving past the windows late at night. Employees whisper about doors that lock on their own and unseen hands brushing against them in empty rooms.
5
Octagon Museum
12 minutes
A house of power, scandal, and restless spirits, the Octagon Museum is haunted by the tragic past of the Tayloe family. The ghost of a young woman—believed to have fallen to her death down the spiral staircase—has been seen lingering in the shadows. Unexplained cold spots and flickering lights are just the beginning of the eerie encounters within these walls.
6
General Jose Gervasio Artigas
12 minutes
The statue of the Uruguayan hero stands silent, but those who linger nearby report unsettling sensations. Some claim to hear hoofbeats on the pavement, as if a ghostly rider is circling the monument. On misty nights, eerie shadows stretch unnaturally long, taking on forms that don’t quite belong to the living.
7
National World War II Memorial
12 minutes
This solemn tribute to fallen heroes is not as empty as it seems after dark. Visitors have captured ghostly orbs in photos, and some report the distant sound of soldiers marching when no one is there. A sudden chill near the fountains has left many wondering if spirits of the past still stand guard.
8
Washington Monument
12 minutes
Towering over the city, this iconic obelisk has a long history of eerie occurrences. Some say the spirit of its namesake lingers nearby, while others report strange lights flickering inside the sealed stairwell. More than a few visitors have felt an invisible force tugging at their clothing, as if urging them to leave.
9
Lockkeeper's House
12 minutes
Once home to a lonely lockkeeper who oversaw the C&O Canal, this tiny house is said to be haunted by his restless spirit. Strange knocking sounds are heard from within, and passersby have spotted a shadowy figure standing at the window—only to vanish before their eyes. Those who step too close report an overwhelming sense of sorrow, as if stepping into a forgotten past.
10
Haupt Fountains
12 minutes
The cascading waters of the Haupt Fountains mask something far more chilling. Ghostly figures have been spotted near the shimmering pools, and some claim to hear faint, echoing laughter—though no one is there. A lingering mist often appears on clear nights, taking on the shape of something—or someone—long lost to history.
