Best part of our trip to the Keys!

Had a fantastic experience doing SNUBA with Josh and the crew! We were lucky to have great weather and excellent visibility. We saw turtles and dolphins during our trip out to the reef, and even some small nurse sharks in the deeper reef, along with a plethora of fish, coral, anemones, and plant-life. The team was super informative and friendly. This was my favorite part of our trip to the Keys - VERY highly recommend.

We went out yesterday and enjoyed snorkeling before snuba, saw some fish, coral, and a huge sea hare that was black and gray. Traveling with my husband, mom, and adult daughter who is a certified diver; three of us had a snuba-like experience at Discovery Cove in Orlando prior, but it was not like this…this was/is more like diving and is very cool. My 76 year old mom backed out of the snuba part after was hooked up and in the water…she was nervous and tired after snorkeling, days of travel, and other activities, they graciously got a guide to take her back to the boat. My husband loved the Snuba (though my daughter would much rather dive even though less equipment is convenient) and got to snuba by a small shipwreck for a good amount of time seeing the biggest lobster imaginable, several crab, lots of white fish, one colorful fish, and guide let them hold a sea hare (like a 8 inch fat slug).
I was so excited to snuba but holding the raft on windy day while they went through everything necessary like testing buoyancy was a lot to handle. I was a total snuba fail, and that was no reflection on the crew, they were amazing. I am a large woman at 295 pounds, and using the weight belt had me tense and hyperventilating slightly. Dennis, who was amazing, suggested I just use the regulator to basically power snorkel while my hubby and daughter did the snuba below me which worked out great! Once I relaxed and did that for a while, on one of several check ins with me, we decided to try the weights to snuba again…he put them on and same thing…got anxious, hyperventilating, struggling against weights…Dennis adjusted my belt on the fly and then when it was higher up on my back, it was GREAT and fun and I got to see some things close up, and I was okay…until I wasn’t. Moving vertical made the weights move lower again and I guess I just panicked. In the panic, everything I did was exactly what they said not to do in the safety training. My husband and snuba guide Dennis got me back to the buoy where I just breathed until was okay to leave it and get to the boat. Everyone offered to help at every turn and showed a lot of care and concern, and never made me feel bad or embarrassed for my disastrous snuba fail. I tried snuba and failed, but that was no reflection on the amazing crew and they did a great job.

Josh and his crew were great and Snuba is cool but a little expensive and didn't see much— need a better dive site. The $35 per
