The absolute best dolphin tour we’ve ever been on! Captain Chris was so knowledgeable and taught us so much about the dolphins and we saw so many dolphins, some that swam directly next to the boat. Highly recommend!!

The tour was awesome. Captain Andrew was very informative and found some dolphins pretty quickly. We were excited even though they weren't that close to the boat. But then he maneuvered the boat around, sped up and the dolphins started to "surf" and play in our wake. A pod of 4 put on quite a show leaping and flipping right behind the boat for quite a while. It was thrilling!

Chris, our guide was so knowledgeable, everything he said may happen, happened. Truly a great excursion. We got to see all the aspects of a great dolphin excursion (even Chris could not believe it). We saw a mom and baby, courting of a female with 2 males(showing off) , a pack while they were feeding (flipping fish out of water and feeding on it), riding up next to us and showing off, the one eye wave, riding our wake. Seeing one of these was a lot, never mind all of it. We truly had a blessed trip.

Hands down the highlight of our trip to AMI. We had Captain JD and he was fantastic ! He grew up on the island and shared a lot of knowledge about the dolphins, wildlife, as well as past and present life and experiences of the island! I Cannot express how much we loved our private dolphin tour with JD! Thanks again.

This is the first time going on a dolphin tour after living in Florida almost 50 years!! Wish I’d done it sooner. Mike and Tom were a wealth of information on the ecosystem and I learned a great deal about dolphins. Mike is an excellent captain and we saw numerous pods of dolphins and enjoyed a cool, sunny morning in the great Florida outdoors. Don’t miss this fun activity when you visit Florida and if you live here don’t wait to try it!!

Four of us went out with Chad and had an amazing experience! Our son is a photographer and thanks to Chad’s efforts to take us to great places to spot wildlife he got some fantastic shots. We saw two female dolphins with a baby and even heard one of them communicating with the other two. Chad patiently manoeuvred the boat so we could get really clear views.
As we progressed Chad gave us lots of interesting information about what we were seeing and about the marine life. We went though the pass at Coquina and were delighted by the sight of two adult manatees and a juvenile….. the water was so clear that we could observe them so well! Chad turned off the engine for the safety of the animals and they swam right up to the boat to check us out!!! We watched them rubbing each other’s heads and swimming under and around the boat. When they moved off we went south past the tip of Longboat Key. Returning to Coquina we sailed up the Gulf a little bit further and saw some tarpon and a frenzy of rays. Again Chad’s skills at positioning the boat meant that we got great views and photos. As we returned our amazing trip had a grand finale! Chad had said that he knew some dolphins like to play in the wake of boats…. He spotted one that appeared ready for some fun and so again got the boat in a position so that the dolphin began to closely follow the boat and repeatedly jumping out of the water alongside us! An incredible end to what was a wonderful trip! All of us had a fantastic time - we highly recommend this company and sincerely thank Chad in particular.
The boat was spotlessly clean and Chad explained all safety procedures before we set off.
We will definitely take another trip next time we are visiting AMI!

We were recommended by a friend and told this was a great dolphin tour. She did recommend JD or Ben however they weren’t available. We initially saw 2-3 dolphin within 30min but after that our captain drove around aimlessly trying to waste time for 1hr. He didn’t make any further stops for the last hour of the trip. My daughters were begging to get off the boat that’s how bored they were. I would def not recommend

Our tour was fabulous! Captain Chad was very friendly and informative. We went first thing in the morning so didn't see a lot of dolphins (five) but we saw a manatee and lots of birds, plus learned a lot. Great job! The small size of the group was perfect!

This was amazing. I liked that it was a relatively small boat. Capt Chris was extremely knowledgeable and respectful of dolphins, ongoing research & care for marine life, and the area in general. I appreciate that we went out even with a small # of passengers (early morning). He knew what to look for & where to go for sightings. We saw so many playful dolphins, manatees, a stingray, and oh so many different birds! Worth every penny! (And we even slowed to remove plastic trash from the bay!)

Captain Chris was great at reading the crowd and structuring our trip to the complete satisfaction of our group. We saw many dolphins and manatees and he even found a way so that the dolphins were swimming alongside of our boat. The adults, as well as the children, ages 8, 11, and teens, ages 15 and 16 were entertained throughout the trip. Thank you for a most enjoyable first part of the day.

Our son and his family were visiting for the first time from Wyoming. Our 14 year old granddaughter had only requested one thing: to see dolphins. Well, I did my due diligence and found this highly rated tour. Let me tell you, I made a great choice!
Comparatively, it was not more expensive than one where there are 30 + people also on the same type of tour and so worth every penny spent. We all highly recommend this tour as the best in the business here! JD was our captain and made sure we knew all safety rules helping us feels safe and secure in his friendliness and knowledge. Best of all JD was not afraid to give us an experience that will never be forgotten by any of our six private sea-adventurers onboard.
JD went out of his way to give us the best time possible! He loves what he does and it shows. We saw Manatees in natural habitat, Sea Birds in island nests that were feeding, fishing and caring for their offspring in their hotel nests, and JD even stopped on a sandbar for us to pick up shells, crabs and sand dollars and observe them in their . PLUS for the best part - DOLPHINS..oh so many dolphins! JD knew how to and was able to get these lovely creatures to catch waves riding behind our boat: making us the envy of all that were from their tours us have the time of our lives. JD was so great, we even tipped him more than any others.

My Wife and I had so and family from Wyoming and let me tell you Capt. JD was just outstanding. I woul recommend this tour to anyone that wants to see Dolphins now I don’t mean Miami Dolphins (NFL)
I mean real Dolphins and beautiful scenery and a education to boot. Go you’ll be glad you did, Thanks Capt JD for a life time experience.

Captain Andrew did a great job with our private dolphin tour! He kept our grand kids engaged and also shared a lot of knowledge with us. We saw a lot of dolphins - we coaxed them into our wake - to the delight of all! Cold, windy morning, but we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Can not recommend enough!

Travis -great Captain. Had a wealth of information. We saw 8 different dolphins and learned how to tell them apart. Great experience!
