Oahu Ultimate Circle Island Tour Full Day Experience

As a first timer to the island this was a Great way to see the island and all the fun spots. We stopped at all the tourist places and saw some of the local hot spots.

We thoroughly enjoyed seeing almost the entire island in one day. Our driver was Kapono, a warm, friendly, fun and informative driver. We played some instructive trivia based around Hawaiian history and facts. The winner received a very cool hand made painting that Kapono created during the various stops. There were tons of opportunities for great pictures. The snorkeling was fun, we brought our own stuff, but I would recommend water shoes, the beach is a bit rocky. Many of the stops have food/snacks, and the lunch ($16 extra) was a crazy good shrimp and rice plate. We had fried banana, macadamia nuts, lots of pineapple, the list goes on, I ate way too much. We stopped at a lot of cool stops, some of which were for pictures and scenic views, which everyone appreciated. Our bus seated 24 friendly people (full), some from all over the world. Passengers helped each other take great pics. The meeting point was a bit confusing, lots of anxious people wondering if they were in the right place for the right tour, but they sorted it out a bit after the meeting time. I would say this tour is definitely worth the time and money, and you might get lucky and get Kapono as your driver.

Kapono was an awesome tour guide. Enjoyed his trivia questions, his music, and his humor and warm personality. Lots of photo opps and food stops. Snorkel stop was fun, but we I needed water shoes for the rocky bottom. It's about 10 hours long, but worth the time and money. Excellent way to spend the day.

Here all the way from Syracuse, NY. This tour was inexpensive compared to other tours. Loved getting to see what makes this island so beautiful. Kapono was our guide/driver and he was amazing. He really loves what he does and it made our long day that much more enjoyable. Hope to be back here in the near future. Take care. Mahalo!

I've went on other tours before in other cities and have not had the experience we've had. Paul was very knowledgeable, energetic and friendly. He definitely loves what he does and having longevity with the company shows he doesn't just do it for the money. It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend hands down a must.

We had a great Circle Island tour all day 9 hour tour with Kapono as our tour guide. He made the tour fun with asking trivia questions and having one of the fellow passengers keep score. Then at the end of the tour we had a guess off and my husband won a beautiful painting Kapona painted while we were at the snorkeling beach. Great tour guide made the day informational and fun.
Early Waikiki Pickups at close locations to hotels, Diamond Head Lookout, Kahala Estates (Drive By), Halona Blowhole, KoKo Crater Arch, Makapu’u Point Lookout, Kualoa Ranch, Chinaman’s Hat, Hauula Beach, Kahuku shrimp shack, Dole Pineapple Plantation, Green World Coffee Farms, snorkeling at a beach. and I am sure I missed some points as well. It was a all day adventure not to be missed or forgotten. Great way to see the island for a reasonable cost.

The best part of this tour was our driver Kapono and the other passengers. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. I am only recommending this tour for first timers and suggest you take this tour within the first day or two of your stay. This tour is mostly scenic and when you do stop the time is very short. The macadamia nut farm and Dole plantation are basically money stops. No direction just walking around buying things. However, you must try the pineapple custard. The beach we stopped at was rough and rocky although we passed many beautiful beaches along the way. We did see a few turtles so that was nice.

The best way to get a lay of the island is this 10+ stop viewing tour (Although Johnny the trivia-master driver highlights it's 17!). You'll have a better idea of which areas to explore in length if you plan to rent a car. You'll get to explore for at least 10 minutes up to a designated time, depending on the stop but this is a full-day experience.

Tip: Hopefully you found your pickup destination, for us, it was the Ross Department Store and we parked at The Hawaiian Shopping Center for safe parking a convenient 6-minute walk away. However, if you're feeling up to a 36-minute walk there's free parking at Ala Moana Center.

This tour and I believe every tour available can only get pickups from hotel locations within Waikiki. It's also useful to know that the pickup is not your hotel name in some cases and you'd be required to note that location down on the clipboard the driver gives everybody to fill out at the beginning of the tour.

Johnny fact fills most of the journey and entertains with trivia points along the way. This breaks the ice with your fellow passengers (now your tour Ohana). If you don't know what it means by the end of the trip you will have learnt some of the lingo to take home - of course, this was our particular driver's way I can't speak for the other tour guides.

Can't recall any negatives about this experience. If I were to nitpick there are no cup holders on the bus but I found you could wedge a bottle or coffee cup between the seat and the wall which frees your hands to take pics!

Bonus tip: I think most of the better pictures can had by sitting on the right side of the bus except for the mountain view and a film location used in quite a few movies. You find out which on the tour.

I recall Johnny's enthusiasm and charisma to be a welcoming hello to the start of the Hawaii vacation, the impression left made the experience of other tours a little duller.

We enjoyed seeing the island. But the bus driver annoying. He was talking so many statistic and not talking about Oahu. We took the tour to learn as much as possible about where we wanted to go back and visit and that didn’t happen.

Tour of of the Island of Oahu Hawaii and people. We had a great time and learned many new things about Hawaii and saw beautiful sites . Highly recommend.

The tour driver was excellent and gave the most wonderful and informative tour that I have ever been a part of, he is a super star!

Had a good time on this tour. It was a nine hour tour. Bus was not that comfortable. People were not respectful of the driver/tour guide as they were talking over him on numerous occasions.
