Guided Secret Falls Tour with Snacks and Drinks

So much fun! Guide was great and it was a beautiful tour. The hike was easy but we did have a couple locations that you had to scale a 5’ area using your hands to climb and we did walk through some mud and streams. We used hiking water shoes from Amazon that worked great. Us active 50+ year olds had a blast.

So much fun! Our guide Levi was excellent! We appreciated how Levi shared the Hawaiian cultural practices along the way.

John was fantastic! Could not have anticipated how fun this would be. The kayaking up the river was peaceful and loved crossing the river in the trail to secret falls. Highly recommend!

The Secret Falls Tour was such a wonderful combination of Kayaking, hiking, and swimming underneath a waterfall in a beautiful cove… what a magical day!! The activities were the perfect length… not too short or too long. The hike was fun and adventurous, taking you across some flowing rivers and through lush forest. The guide informed us about various plants and facts about Kauai. He was super nice and interesting. I highly recommend!!

The worst customer service from Nathan Cotter. Word to the wise, invest your money in another organization which offers a much better customer service, provides more guidance and interacts with you as a person along with probably acknowledging the indigenous land of Kaua'i - I witness another Kayak organization which offered a more hands on approach, provided proper guidance, including assistance whose who displayed the need for assist. All which Nathan lacked and refused to assistance to lead to a BIPOC individual to slip and fall into the water - lack of customer service at its worst, including the lack of acknowledging being on indigenous land.

Levi, our guide, was amazing! He was knowledgeable and shared so much about the Hawaiian culture. Our favorite part of the trip was his conch shell bugle calls and prayer chants that he sang along the way. The falls are beautiful and make sure to swim behind the falls for a cool experience!

This was such a great experience! I am not super athletic, but I enjoy easy to moderate hikes. The kayak portion was serene, smooth and had gorgeous views. The hiking portion was fun and our guide Nathan had so much knowledge about local plant, life and history. The waterfall was priceless. I highly recommend this tour and this company! We bought inexpensive water shoes near where we were staying and they were super helpful. We brought a sandwich along, and ate the provided snacks when we reached the waterfall. Will go again next trip!

The whole excursion was so much fun! It did rain the entire time, but when it rains while you’re enjoying beautiful Kauai, it’s worth it! Nathan, our guide, made sure we were safe the entire time and had a lot of great knowledge about the plant and wildlife. I would definitely recommend this company if you enjoy kayaking and hiking!

We loved our guide, Nathan! He had so much knowledge of the local plant life and shared so much Hawaiian history that i had never heard before. He made our trip so interesting and we got to enjoy the perfect weather too. Besides his knowledge I also felt very safe with him as our guide. I highly recommend this excursion and you should definitely use this great company! One note: this is not for anyone who is challenged physically in any way, but not too difficult (i don’t want to scare anyone away:)

The guide, the views and the waterfall was amazing, somewhat taxing for a 65 year old couple but it was fun. The guide Levi was a blessing as a guide , he was patient with all of us, well informed. I will do it again

Nathan was very good at explaining the history throughout the hike and guided us well throughout tour.

My friends and I enjoyed our kayak adventure up the Wailua River and then hike to Secret Falls. Jon our tour guide was fantastic. He was full of information about the history of the area and also the flora and fauna of the area. The hike is a bit strenuous in a few areas. The trail is rocky and full of tree roots in some areas. There are a couple of places you have to cross a river too. May be difficult for some people who are not very active.

We absolutely loved the guided Secret Falls Tour! The kayaking was fantastic, the hike was great, the views were amazing, swimming in the waterfall was awesome and refreshing. And our guide, Gabe, was the absolute best! Gabe was very informative and provided so much interesting history of the area and Kauai. He answered all of our questions, was very respectful and nice, and had a great sense of humor. He was always watching to make sure everyone was safe and was very helpful when needed.

Levy was an outstanding tour guide. His heritage and his spirituality lead the way for the tour. Levy has a deep knowledge of the Hawaiian history and loving respect for the Island. Getting to know Levy during the tour was a huge bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience to Uluwehi Falls. Levy had a conch that we would blow to start his prayer and ask permission to enter areas of the mountains. To us this made our trip even better, the conch gave us “holy bumps”. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. Mahalo Levy, many prayers for you and your family. We truly appreciate your knowledge and conversation.

The only thing I can say is that the hike is a pretty strenuous hike on some narrow trails and some steep terrain, so know your physical ability before starting the hike.

The secret falls themselves were beautiful and it was a wonderful experience swimming in the lagoon under the falls. Our guide was great and this review is not meant to reflect poorly on him.

The expected time of the excursion was ~6 hours. We were done and back a little under 5 hours. We were disappointed to end an hour early because we felt our time at the falls were rushed. We barely had enough time to enjoy the falls and eat our lunch before we had to turn around. In fact, we got a ten minute warning and basically had to eat our lunch within those 10 minutes.

We also felt the description of the excursion to have other inaccuracies. It listed passing a traditional Hawaiian village which we did not see or have pointed out to us.

Overall, we would have preferred to rent out own kayak and do this on our own time schedule.

Levi was a wonderful guide, he told us about all sorts of traditions along the trip.
The water falls are a good 1.25 plus mile hike through some mud, rocks and stream crossing, a fun experience. Really glad we did this.
