Surf Lesson in Sunny Po'ipu

Great lesson! Had a group lesson, total of four folks. Kele was a great instructor and paid attention to the details that assisted in my rapid learning. In addition, two members of my extended family were getting a private lesson and we were able to be right next to them. Their instructor Jimmy was also very helpful and Kele and Jimmy worked together to integrate the experience. A couple of days later I rented a board from Hoka and Elisha was also great in getting me all set up. I hope to be back in Po’ipu soon and I’ll definitely work with Hoka again. All y’all are great! Our instructor David was awesome, super knowledgeable and experienced, patient, and overall just a chill dude to hang with for a few hours learning how to surf!

Great time. The water has some large rocks underneath where you're surfing, so you need to pay attention to how you fall, and strong currents. But excellent lesson and lots of fun!

My husband first time , learning how to surf the staff was so friendly and the instructor was super nice and patient.

My husband and I recently had an incredible surfing lesson, and it was a truly memorable experience. Our instructor was not only patient, knowledgeable, and friendly but also incredibly skilled at easing my nerves and providing expert guidance on proper technique.

What made this lesson even more special was the list of local eateries our instructor recommended. We tried them and were delighted to find them absolutely delicious.

It was great!! I am 74 and was not sure I could do it. Instructor was super patient and I got up several times all the way to shore. Highly recommended. Another check on my bucket list.

Kele was amazing!! Not only a great teacher but also very caring!! When I lost my phone in the ocean Kele took the time to help us find it! He was absolutely amazing with the kids. My daughter (8) and son (14) enjoyed it so much we had to rent boards after our lesson. Kele had another lesson after ours and still made sure my kids were being safe and helped them catch some extra waves!!! Couldn’t have had a better time even with loosing my phone in the ocean.

From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel super comfortable and welcome. Our instructor Kele was very professional and passionate about teaching us to surf. He made it super simple to understand and was with us in the surf the whole time. He took plenty of time with each guest and made sure we were all able to stand and catch a wave. I never surfed before, and I’m old lol, and he helped me catch my first wave ever!

Great surf lesson with Kele. Learned a lot and rode some waves. Punctual start, safe area, and lots of advice to make me successful at getting up on the waves.

I had an amazing time! Kele was my instructor and he was very knowledgeable and made sure that we all got the best waves. His encouraging attitude and cheerfulness made the experience very enjoyable. After, he gave me recommendations for hiking spots.

I appreciate how rash guards and shoes are provided, plus the on-land lesson where we learned how to stand up before we got in the water.

If you’re looking for a surfing school, this is the best one!

Greg was a great instructor. The entire group had such a fun time and we all caught some waves even with us never surfing before! The beach and resort where the lessons are are gorgeous. Highly recommend. Very friendly for any age!

The instructor was so funny and nice very encouraging and made learning to surf so much fun. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Absolutely a great time and instructor was amazing and it was clear he loves what he does- getting everyone the opportunity to catch a wave I. Hawaii and have a great time!

This could not have been a better experience. Small class size, great beach, and amazing instructor. Kele gave a great short tutorial on land before we started and it prepared us for the real thing. My biggest challenge was paddling but even I was able to stand up every time after the first try. My 14- year-old is now a pro ready to move to Hawaii and do it full-time.

David was a great teacher! We were staying in Princeville but made the hour drive to Poipu beach and had consistent waves - great for lots of practice. We both stood up on our first lesson!
