What You Will Do
This once in a lifetime experience is a thrilling way to get up close and personal one of Kauai’s most popular natural attractions. Da Life Outdoors brings the magic of Hule'ia River and it's 241 acres of National Wildlife Refuge to visitors and Kama'ainas (residents). Their guides perform volunteer service towards the natural resource restoration for the privilege of sharing it with guests, and a portion of all ticket sales are donated to the Hule'ia National Wildlife Refuge for ongoing conservation efforts.
After a detailed rappel safety lesson, and a practice run on the dry wall, you will be guided into the waterfalls. The first waterfall rappel is done at the 30’ Bamboo Falls, and then followed by the towering 60’ Papakolea Falls. Your tour ends with a snack overlooking the Hule'ia Watershed and Ha'upu Mountain range. The photos you could take on this adventure will leave your friends at work SPEECHLESS! This WILL be the highlight of your Kauai vacation!

This was our annual rappel trip with Da Life Outdoors. Our very fav activity on Kauai. Very experienced guides with safety their top priority. New ropes checked and double checked before we rap down. Informative safety chat prior to the start with a dry rappel to help get you feeling teady to tackle the 30 and 60 foot waterfalls. The mostest, funnest rush you'll get on the Garden Island. Just do it!!!

This experience was amazing! Non and Kate took the time to properly train us, and gave us confidence to tackle the challenge! I highly recommend this adventure to anyone who loves to push themselves and experience something unique.

This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The guides were amazing with training and keeping everyone comfortable and safe. They provided a waterproof bag to carry our personal belongings, or they could be stored and locked in their trailer. Families were split into two groups so that someone could always be taking photos while the other rappelled. The group was fairly small which we also really enjoyed. Beautiful scenery! Highly recommend!
