Group Surf Lesson: Two Hours of Beginners Instruction in Kihei

Had a great time entire family enjoyed being on the water learning how to surf, our instructor was cool forget his name but he was awesome

Great experience! So glad we did this with a group of 9 family members. Recommend doing it early in your trip. Mike and Sofia were knowledgeable and gave great tips to get us all up and enjoy surfing in Maui.

I tractor Mike was great. Very knowledgeable and through teacher. He was a guy everyone that visits Hawaii should meet especially if you want to surf! My wife was able to get up on the board and ride the first time and after a couple of times I was as well. It was a great learning experience. My friend said surfing will change your life and he wasn’t lying. Also no better workout than to surf. BIG thank you to Mike!

Perfect location and easy to find. They sent us exact location with pictures to find the place the night before. Super organized. Brooks was our instructor and he rocked!!! Jess took pictures of us the whole time which we could purchase at the end and was super reasonable. 10 out of 10

Surf Shack made our surfing experience so fun, they were really welcoming to all beginners which made the experience amazing. It was really easy to learn with the help of our instructor, Mike. It is also a very kid friendly business and the instructors are always helping you learn. I promise you’ll enjoy yourself at Surf Shack. We did lessons one day with our kids (the whole family) and the kids liked it so much that we came back the next day and rented boards from the owner Brandon and felt confident enough to surf on our own!

100% recommend. Sophia and Mike were AMAZING. my husband and kids had never surfed before and by the end were riding waves on their own. Some of my kids were a little nervous, but Sophia and Milke took all of that away. Thanks again!

Excellent experience!!! Would highly recommend these folks. Laid back, but still professional, helpful instruction. Got up on first try, was surfing on my own after 4 or 5 waves/assists where they push you a head of the wave. Sandy was a great instructor! And the provided photographer, Kylee, got some great pics!!!

The instructors and staff were very knowledgeable who thoroughly what to expect and built a solid foundation of skills needed to surf. Plus, the waves were perfect for instruction.

The staff was so warm, made my children feel comfortable and confident and all of them got em and were surfing!
