River North Food Walking Tour

I took the tour with only 3 other people
Ben was very funny(edgy) and provided a good tour but i found the food mostly disappointing except for the dougnut vault and the incredible pastry at Pistones - pizza and hot dog no big desl
Fun on a cold Sunday anyway but the food choices can be stepped up !

We lucked out that the rainy and windy conditions held off until late in the tour but it was worth it. Loved the food and the history of each restaurant - and were stuffed by the end. Highly recommend this tour with Lauren.

My wife and I always take a food tour in whichever city we visit and this experience was our favorite by far. We had a great group who confirmed I knew the capital of Canada and that we have been pronouncing "Ikea" incorrectly for years. Ben G. was the perfect tour guide for this group and really made the three hours fly by. All of the food was phenomenal and the final stop may have been my favorite. Make sure you wear good walking shoes but the pace is leisurely and helped burn off some of those extra calories.

This was such fun! We had a fabulous time walking through the streets eating delicious food! Our guide Ben was amazing, lots of great info on food and local historical tidbits. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time with Ben as our guide. We saw many different places, heard great stories and sampled some of Chicago’s best foods! It was an amazing experience and we highly recommend Ben.

What a great time! Christine was our leader. She had a wonderful personality. For this tour we did the Chicago River North. We had been to Chicago several times but have not a food tour. We picked the River North because we never go to that part of Chicago. Not only did we get to try some wonderful food, we got to see a new part of the city. Christine gave us a lot of interesting facts about Chicago that we did not know. Bring an appetite. We stopped at 5 different places and the portions were bigger then expected. I would totally recommend trying this food tour out!

This was a great tour to get to enjoy various cuisine in Chicago fashion. Jake was ultra friendly and had a wealth of knowledge about various locations we stopped. We walked about 2 miles but stopped and refreshed often. The walking pace was slow so any level of person could do. Would highly recommend!

Italian beef stop from a small and historic location I never would have visited on my own. Donut stop to start the tour was also a hidden gem!

Great morning spent on the food tour with Jake who was pleased to answer all our questions (whether about the food tour or not)! Also one in our party was vegetarian and this was really well catered for. Lovely food and off the track places we’d never have found!

Our guide was very friendly and provided a lot of interesting information about the stops we visited. The food was awesome as well!

Really enjoyed the unique food places that I never would have known about. Really great to get the history of River North. Sann was our tour guide and did a fantastic job!! Very welcoming, professional, interesting and made the tour perfect in every way.

Our tour guide 7/1/22 was Sann and it was awesome to explore new places (not just food places) with her and a great group of people from other states and a couple from nearby Chicago. The food portions are generous so pace yourself!

What a great way to get to know Chicago. Enjoyed combining the Chicago food and the history of ghe city

This was my first food tour. I liked the combination of architecture/history and stops at various restaurants. I've lived in the Chicago area all my life and still learned some new things about the city. Our tour guide, Sann, was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Four of us went on this food tour. Two of us have been on at least 10 food tours while the other two were new to this adventure. We all had a wonderful tour. Ravi was our guide, and he managed to keep us all corralled and entertained. The food was delicious. We all agreed that the taco at XOCO was our favorite taste. You even managed to have perfect weather for us!

We had a great time on the walking food tour! It's a great way to see the River North area of Chicago and enjoy a variety of good food. Our guide was knowledgeable and made the experience fun. We learned about the city's history and architecture, and we got to bypass the wait each place we stopped to eat. I'd recommend this tour for anyone who is looking for something fun and different to do while visiting Chicago.

This was a fun way to spend an afternoon in Chicago. Our tour guide Ravi was knowledgeable and kind. We learned about the architecture in the River North and the history and the food at the different venues we visited. The website needs to be updated as the eateries we visited were not what we expected. Started at Doughnut Vault with a very sugary donut that would have gone down better with coffee. We went to Lou Malnati’s for a small piece of pizza and I personally like other deep dish better-Georgio’s in the suburbs. We had to stand at XOCO to eat our small taco which was tasty but would have liked to have a place to sit. Last two stops which were Club Lago for a beef sandwich which was excellent and good size. Finished at Portillo’s with a cake shake which was yummy and also good size. But if you were expecting a hot dog you would be disappointed. At least 2.5 miles of walking. Still fun and glad we went!
