National Quilt Museum Admission Pass

Very disappointed when I was there before some years back, the area was filled
with hundreds of quilts and was so fascinating to look at each one I planned a
trip back with a quilting friend to find a area filled with samples and no big bed
quilts It took us thirty minutes to look at everything there All of the them were
machine quilted and most of the samples were from out of the United States

We were so fortunate to see all of these quilts with so many different styles. It was like going to an art gallery. Not just fabric but beads, netting, ribbon, remnants. The large long wall hangings were amazing. Quilts are usually used on beds but these were like paintings. One artist said her neutral color was chartreuse‼️
I would feel like royalty to sleep under such. My husband was totally surprised.

The quilt museum is amazing and awe-inspiring. The pieces are art, regardless of whether you quilt or not. For those who quilt, they are inspirational.

While being a guy and not into quilts this place is a must see. The different style quilts from all over the world was amazing. Really enjoyed the ones from Japan. This is a great place to visit. Staff was extremely and wanted to tell you all about the quilts.

A beautiful museum with fabulous exhibits and gift shop, well worth the time to visit! The staff were warm and welcoming and helpful when needed.
The artistic expression in quilts is unbelievable!

I thought this would be primarily of interest to quilters but not so. Unbelievable quilts of all types. So much creativity. Amazing talent.

This museum is a major attraction in Paducah, and is well worth the time to visit. My wife and I enjoyed looking at the meticulous workmanship and the creativity used to create the quilts on display there.

There are several rooms with different features and artists. As we looked at a display of tiny quilts, I was surprised to see one made by someone from my hometown. I asked a docent how quilts are selected for the museum, and she told me they are most often donations.

There is a nice gift shop with some quilting-related souvenirs.

This was my second visit to the National Quilt Museum and it won’t be my last! The displays of quilts change every three or four months so you never see the same thing twice. This museum is not about the past or the history of quilting. It is a dynamic exploration of the future of fiber arts. Some of the quilts were modern variations on patterns my Grandma used to use but some of them were like enormous paintings. Don’t miss the well curated gift shop, containing the works of many local artists. Don’t miss the NQM if you are anywhere nearby, and if you love quilts make a special trip like I did!

This isn’t a “museum” in the traditional sense. All quilts displayed were made in 1998 or since. Zero historical information regarding quilts. All quilts displayed at the time of our visit were “quilt show” quality, complete with glue on flat backed gems, I assume to catch and reflect the light. Truly some breathtaking work on display. Comfortable, clean, and staff were attentive, friendly, and seemed happy. Museum is dedicated to “today’s quilters.” Had I been visiting with the idea to take up quilting as a hobby, I’d have dropped that idea like a hot rock. It undoubtedly takes many years to make a “show quality” quilt. In visiting a “museum,” I always hope to learn something new. Zero education involved in this museum.

Nothing historical, just a gallery of modern quilts. While you’ll see some interesting pieces, there’s nothing to learn. We were in and out in 45 minutes. Some of that time was looking for more displays because I was convinced there was more. Don’t waste your money.

This is just an amazing experience. The quilts are beyond beautiful and the craftsmanship makes you look closely. Some are so beautiful you wonder if it isn’t a photo!

I am not a quilter but I can appreciate art and these are absolutely amazing works of art! I can hardly believe human hands created some of these on display! Definitely worth a visit!

The museum exhibits were marvelous. The most common phrases I heard from visitors were "amazing! " "wow!" "unbelievable!"

In addition to a delightful time at the quilt museum, we found Paducah charming and the community warm and helpful.

Really enjoyable!! Even if you’re not that much into quilting I think anyone would appreciate the artistic value of their displays. I did kind of assume they’d have section devoted to the history of quilting since it is a museum, but everything was modern. Which was ok too, just not what I expected.

The ladies there were very informative, they answered any question we had and was more that glad to share their information, they did not make us feel that we were bothering them. The quilts that were on display were amazing to say the least. I wish there had been a bit more to see, it only took about an hour to stroll thru. Over all it was worth the stop. (1$ off card at our hotel, and also welcome center.)
