Although I guess I had a hyped up idea of what Area 51 would look like (I thought some kind of bunker with guards standing out front). Its really just a small gate behind some markers in the dirt, which if you pass, you get arrested. Dennis was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and very accommodating.
Our original tour date was canceled because of a sick driver so we went 2 days later. We started off being picked up at our hotel. Water and light snacks were provided. We stopped to see the airport where the airplanes that head to Area 51 leave from. Then we stopped at a rest stop 30 min into the trip. We went to the extraterrestrial highway and stopped at a cool shop along the way as well as the black mailbox.
For lunch we stopped at the AleInn for lunch. You could choose from a few sandwiches or their Alien burger (a garden burger is an option for those who don't eat meat). Afterwards, we stopped by the El Dorado Dry Lake Bed where a scene from Independence Day was filmed. A lot was packed into the day which was cool because we never got bored. Dennis also made sure everyone got the best photos possible and was very patient. The price seems a bit expensive but considering how much is packed in, it's worth it.
