Lower East Side Eats Food Tour

Russ was a great tour guide!! We ate so much and really had fun!! We were celebrating our friend’s bday.

Ross was a fantastic tour guide and went above and beyond to accommodate my need for gluten free options!! Highly recommend the private tour option!

We were a small crowd of 6 people including the guide. She did a great job trying to make the best out of a rainy day. However I can not recommend the tour. We went to several places and had tiny portions of food. The first stop was at Katz Delicatessen to try their famous pastrami sandwich. Everyone became only a bite. It probably didn’t sum up to a whole sandwich for 6 people. The -I think 6 or 7 stops- didn’t provide enough food to at least satisfy everyone. Considering the price, me and my wife were not by far full. After the tour we had to go eat somewhere else. Not only the amount of food was poor- the selection also gave me the impression of keeping everything cheap. We would not recommend this tour - Meg the guide did a good job. It is not to blame on her that the organization behind the tour is seeking the most profit possible.

Jack Z led a great tour. He was super knowledgeable and fun! The food stops were outstanding. We left very, very full!!!!

Great way to learn about the history of the Lower East Side neighborhood and enjoy an amazing sampling of food from local establishments.

There was soooo much food included , it was impossible to eat it all. Truly demonstrates New York as a melting pot. Most memorable part was facing the impossibility of trying to eat pickles and then doughnuts after a culinary trip around the globe !

We flew redeye from California and started our NYC trip with Meg and a really fun group. She was engaging, informative and kept us well fed. Highly recommend for a thorough tour of the yummy foods and history of the lower east side.

Five star all the way! Shaina was fantastic. Funny, informative and easygoing. We were very lucky - our group of 3 were the only ones there. We loved it - food was great and so is Shaina - would recommend any time.

Our guide, Ross, was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and took us to some great eateries. We were stuffed by the time the tour was over. We saw and tasted so many different things. He also told us so much about the history of the area. I’d highly recommend this!

As part of our NY tour, we took this walking tour and Ross was our guide. He was wonderful, with lots of history and commentary on the streets that we walked. Visited Katz Deli, Vanessa’s Dumplings, Essex market, Donut plant, Empanada Mommas, and Roni-Sue’s chocolates. It was wonderful and a definite highlight of our visit. Thank you Ross from the Aussies.

We had the best time!! Shaina was a fun, personable and knowledgeable guide. All of the food was delicious!

Andrea was super informative and we had a small group which was awesome! Loved all of the stops but Katz's Deli was a fav! The pastrami is delicious. Highly recommend. This was a highlight on our trip for sure!

The Lower East Side Eats Tour was so much fun. The food was amazing. Ross, the tour guide, was great and shared so much history. I highly recommend it and plan on doing their west side tour next.

Lydia was a wonderful food tour guide! We learned so much interesting information about the area and the food vendors. We sampled amazing food from the lower east side and left with good memories and happy tummies.

We really enjoyed our food tour of the Lower East Side with Russ. We stopped at a variety of places, some well known and others that we would never have found on our own. Plus, we learned a lot about the history of the neighborhood. Recommended.
