What You Will Do
The Downtown Cleveland Christmas guided walking tour explores the history of some of downtown's most famous department stores and their many Christmas traditions.
Stroll down Euclid Avenue as we discuss Cleveland Christmas delights like Higbee's Twigbee Shop, Halle Bros. Mr. Jingeling and the Sterling-Lindner Christmas tree. Experience downtown all decorated for the holidays! The tour starts in Public Square and ends in Playhouse Square with a stop in the Arcade.

Itinerary
Meeting Point
We meet at the statue of Mayor Tom Johnson (man sitting in a chair), located on the north side of Public Square, across the street from the Old Stone Church (the only church on the Square).

Public Square
40 minutes
We start in Public Square talking about some general history about Cleveland's famous Department Stores and some unique Cleveland Christmas facts. The Square is lit with about half a million lights! As we move around the Square, we will discuss Higbee's and the May Company and Christmas traditions like the Twigbee Shop and the movie A Christmas Story.
