Don’t waste your money

We had joined a secret food tour in Copenhagen which was wonderful so signed up for this pricey food tour of Charleston. We met at an empty tourist trap that was huge, empty, with blaring music. The tour leader half heartedly tried to tell us a few stories over the music but it was too much effort to hear and get any meaningful information. As we did not eat pork, we got dry “cheese and macaroni”. Kraft would have been a huge improvement! We were then taken to a cookie tasting place where everyone was helping themselves to taster cookies, nothing secret or special here. The seafood tasting was again at a cavernous empty place where no one wanted to go because the food was cheap and tasteless. Our special secret taste was at a winery and was a meat dish served cold and pretty bland. Of course they finished with ice cream which was very good and the only taste worth having. Oh how I wish I had all that money back, attended a quality walking tour and just bought myself an ice cream.
Perry was a great guide...

Perry was a great guide who took us on a great tour! Food was great and Perry did a great job explaining the significance of what we were eating. We had my 85 year old grandmother with us and she had so much fun. Would highly recommend the private food tour with Perry!

Pro-Tip: Order your drinks a la carte as you go - the drinks upcharge is not worth it, but the Spiked Carolina Sweet Tea totally is!
