Sunset Hibachi Dinner Cruise

The Sunset Hibachi Cruise was certainly a memorable experience, and the chefs were both entertaining and genuinely kind, which added a lot to the evening. However, I do feel there are a few areas that could be improved. For the $127 per person ticket price, it would be reasonable to include complimentary soft drinks and water, with charges reserved for alcoholic beverages. It was a bit disappointing that no beverages at all were included in the cost.

Additionally, it would be helpful if the number of guests were limited to match the available seating. Some passengers were left without a place to sit, which took away from the comfort of the experience. Lastly, while the cruise is advertised as a two-hour event from 6 to 8 p.m., we didn’t actually set sail until around 6:20, which shortened the actual time on the water.

With a few adjustments, this cruise has the potential to be truly exceptional.

A fun night out with family. The staff was entertaining throughout the evening for both adults and kids. The chicken, steak, shrimp, rice, veggies (and yum yum sauce) was just as delicious and filling as in a hibatchi restaurant - but much more casual. Only suggestion is that water or tea should be included with the meal. To spend that much on dinner and boat ride and then have to pay additional for a bottled water or can of soda seemed a little over the top.

Come dressed causal, relaxed, and ready to enjoy the experience! Everyone from the Captain, bartender, and the Chef's were exceptional. It was well worth the price.

The excursion was very fun! The food was great! The staff was gracious and entertaining! It was cloudy so we did not see much of a sunset but it was still a good time! I would definitely do it again.
The boat was filled to only about half of capacity so there was plenty of room.
If I were to have a complaint there would only be one. For the price you're paying it would be nice to have at least one drink included even if it is just water.
But all in all, it was a great time had by everyone in my party.

Well, it’s not a pontoon boat. It’s a party barge. I didn’t expect 50 other people, nowhere to sit, and drinks not included in the expensive price. We had fun though but thank goodness I brought friends and not my husband. It’s not a date night activity. It’s watching a bunch of young people, half naked, dancing and filming TikTok content.

For 130.00 you get your back to the water or you stand and one small bowl of food.
The staff was friendly and the music was awesome.
The food was just okay.
The sake was unnecessary.

I really thought we’d have a seat around the grill and watch them prepare our food. I was so wrong.

Pretty much a total rip-off. Although the staff was friendly and engaging, the boat was jam packed. Nowhere to sit but metal benches along outside edges of the boat, which made eating a challenge. Food was mediocre at best. Drinks were horrifically overpriced and bartender claimed to not have change for at least two people in our party. Music was way too loud. Definitely not worth the price.

We were looking for something fun/new to do on the water with our family (kids ages 20-26). This was fantastic!!! The food was very good! There is a bar in the back of the boat and plenty of seating. There is seating up front for those who want to be close to the hibachi show but you can see it from the back of the boat too and they do a good job of bringing the saki around to everyone who wants it. There was a bachelor party on our cruise and they seemed to be having a great time. Would highly recommend this for a fun dinner on the water!

The sunset hibachi cruise is mostly a party boat. If you are going for the food and sunset, it was good. If you want to party, you’d probably love it. Unfortunately, the chefs offered up Japanese saki wine and even if you said NO to it, it was pushed on you. The company needs to realize that some people do not drink alcohol (think former alcoholics, religious reasons, medicine, etc). Lovely idea, but please remember no means no.

So fun! The chefs were excellent and so good with the kids. They got to participate and had so much fun. The food was typical hibachi but done well. Bathroom was clean. Cruise was very pretty and even after a cloudy day we got a great sunset. Kids are 6-11 and they really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend for families.

We went on the sunset hibachi dinner cruise. Booked this thinking my husband and I would have a romantic way to celebrate our 40th anniversary. Instead, we felt like we were at a frat party. 🙁 Way too many people on board (no way enough life preservers could possibly be available). Weather was deplorable so there were no sunset views. We left from the dock and went a short distance to a bridge, which provided cover to the dozens of passengers (as well as the cooks) who were exposed to the rain. No commentary whatsoever on what we were seeing. Lots of antics like squirting sake shots into passengers’ mouths and flame throwing. The worst part is that we were in limbo all afternoon not knowing whether the cruise was going to take place. I called countless times and found out only 45 minutes before departure that it was a go. When I booked, I clearly indicated we did NOT want to go in inclement weather. But no refunds were offered. 🙁 The whole experience was a HUGE disappointment. I will say the one positive was that the food was good (however, no drinks were provided; even water had to be purchased). Overall, it was a waste of time and money. I couldn’t wait to get off that boat!

Pros: the food was good.
Cons: there are no tables to eat your food on. Drinks cost extra. The boat is over crowded with, I counted, 37 paying customers plus staff. A lot of people stood up the whole time. There is one bathroom for everyone.

I’ve never before paid $100 to eat off a paper plate and have no table. At a minimum, a drink should be included.

The idea is wonderful but their execution is not good. I hope they read these reviews and take note. This could really be a great experience!

Highly recommend this hibachi boat ride with great steak, chicken, shrimp, fried rice, salad and drinks, and sunset views.

The chefs put on a great show. The food was excellent and we saw a couple dolphins and the trip was smooth

The instructions as to where to go to reach the boat were non-existent. When we did find the boat it was over crowded with not enough seating for everyone! The food was plentiful and tasty!

The most memorable part was people drinking the Saki. I think it was a competition or something. I don't drink but it was fun to watch them. I booked this cruise for my husband's birthday. I enjoyed seeing the happiness in his eyes. He really loved it and talked about until we fell asleep.

We had a wonderful evening celebrating my husband’s birthday on the hibachi cruise. Food was delicious, crew was friendly, boat was comfortable and roomy enough for all passengers. Some were even dancing at end of the trip.
Our only suggestion: could the captain narrate where on the island we were sailing by. We are locals, but most were visitors. Some were wondering what we were seeing: Spanish Wells, Wexford, Sea Pines, Harbor Town lighthouse, etc. Maybe mention interesting island history too. Otherwise, great trip . We would recommend
