Memphis Haunted History Bus Tour

This activity is better suited to adults. There is some walking but those with physical limitations will be ok. The tour is more history than truly scary but very interesting and informative. The stops were well chosen for the view or the history associated with it.

This bus tour was so much fun! I really enjoyed that all of the haunted happenings were placed in historical context-- I learned a lot about Memphis! I've been on a lot of ghost tours and this was my first time experiencing a live demonstration of trying to communicate with ghosts. I felt like we were able to see a lot on the bus and I also enjoyed that we got off the bus a few times to walk around. Highly recommend!

Very informative host. Go when it’s warm. You will be outside. I would rather pay a few extra dollars than a tip. The tour would be classier imo.

This is the best tour. The crew are amazing. It was so much fun, and even if you aren't into ghost adventures it is the best tour for the history of Memphis. They really know there stuff.

Matt seems very knowledgeable about the history of the area. The stories were interesting.
He also suggested going to Ernestine and Hazel‘s after the walk was over which we did. The music was fabulous and the establishment was really interesting!

It was a beautiful home & we enjoyed the self guided tour. The outside (yard) was very pretty also! Loved the dollhouse❤️

Our host was very knowledgeable! Though the bus ride was abit bumpy the info and the sights seen were good.

This was such a great tour. Our guide Matt was very knowledgeable, fun and a cutie!! 😉 He made sure that my hearing impairment was addressed and that I was comfortable in my situation.

Good information. Comfortable bus. Both the driver and commentator were very friendly, courteous, and knowledge. We enjoyed ourselves and our small group made it super cozy. Love how they were prepared with mosquito repellant for us. Good tour!

Great stories that tie both history and ghosts together. Even when things plans had to be altered, out tour guides were flexible and friendly. We'll do this tour again!

I wasn’t sure what ti expect. I did like all the historical information that the guide gave that was very interesting. Could have done with the trying to talk to the other side stuff. As a Christian I don’t believe anyone should be messing with that.

While I enjoy a good walking tour, taking a bus allows you to see a lot more in a short period of time. This 90-minute tour was also a nice way to learn about the history of Memphis from the yellow fever epidemic to the wreck of the Sultana, and other unfortunate events that are likely to have contributed quite a few ghosts to the city. The driver, Keith, was super friendly and funny and the guide, Alexander, worked hard to share all of the details with us despite the fact that he was relatively new. During the tour, you get to use a few ghost investigation tools. While they didn’t necessarily work very well the night of our tour (in other words, they didn’t seem to indicate much ghostly activity), it was still interesting to see how they are used. It’s not super scary but it was a nice way to see parts of the city that weren’t on our list and to get up to speed on history.

The Haunted House Tour was more than we expected. Had a great time and will tell all our family and friends. The host was knowledgeable and very informative.

A great historical tour of some of the oldest spots in the city with a dark past. They carefully avoid sensationalizing tragedies, keeping a respectful distance while sharing events that have led to Memphis's reputation as a "cursed" city. Interesting to 3 generations of my family - no small feat! Quite a bit of walking involved, but the driver Keith, who's funny enough to do stand-up comedy, willingly shares tidbits of history with those whose limited mobility keeps them on the bus.
