Galveston Tree Carvings Segway Tour

This was one of the best excursions I have ever done! Jay, our guide had a vast knowledge of the history of Galveston which enabled us to see the town through a whole new lens. I did the trip with my teenage son, who despite affecting boredom, was able to regale my husband and other son with all the stories of pirates and mafia wars when we caught up later. We both loved it and I would highly recommend this to anyone!

My daughter and I throughly enjoyed this tour. We were skeptical at first, but Asa our guide was very informative about using the Segway. Being 67 years old I was a little leery, but after a while, became confident. Asa was an excellent guide and knowledgeable about the history of Galveston. We definitely would go again..

Asa was a real history buff of Galveston and we learned alot. We saw sooo much more than just tree car I gave. Highly recommend this tour.

Probably one of the ten best tours of my life. The Segway was easy to learn--it took all of three minutes to get the hang of it. The tourguide knew EVERYTHING. He was born at the hospital down the street, lived in Galveston all his life, and knows everybody we passed, personally. A fountain of knowledge, and always clear, distinct, and eloquent. A+++ for this tour!

We had such an amazing time!! The tree carvings were beautiful and the stories were so interesting. And, doing it all on a segway made it even more special.

I highly recommend SegCity Segway tours of Galveston. We live by the rule of doing a Segway tour whenever we visit a city or place for the first time. Segway Galveston is a fitting example. In 2 hours, we covered an area that would've taken over 6 hours to walk. The fact the tour is guided and chalk full of history was the icing on the cake. Our guide was well informed and shared great historical stories of Galveston.

Our only issue is that although we signed up for the Seawall Segway tour, we were mistakenly added to the Tree Carvings Tour, but this turned out to be a happy accident. The Tree Carvings Tour covers all the basics (including a brief seawall cruise by), but it mostly covers the many historical homes and the fabulously carved front yard trees. Our happy accident was made even "happier" when the SegCity management realized their mistake and refunded the difference in price.

By all means, when you go to Galveston Island, make the time to save time by doing a wonderful Segway tour!!

This is a great way to see Galveston. It was my second time doing the Segway tour. I had two friends in town and they throughly enjoyed it as well! Our tour guide was a wealth of information about the history of the island. I highly recommend!

I loved seeing the tree carvings and learning more history. The Segway was much easier than I expected. I am 59 years old. The guide was helpful and knowledgeable.

The manager "D" stepped in to replace our designated tour guide at the last minute. She provided an excellent, informative tour, which we all enjoyed immensely. The historic homes and tree carvings are a must see.

My favorite part of the Segway tour was being able to see the architecture that is so unique to Galveston. We were able to see lots sculptures and the guide made it a unique to what we were most interested in

Girlfriends ages 40-79 enjoyed this tour on a Segway! 7 of the 8 had never been on a Segway! Very nervous, unsure, and skeptical and ready to bail out BUT after watching the safety video AND standing on the Segway and learning to ride it... in a short 15 minutes with practice in the side alley ... everyone felt safe and was ready to ride! Asa was an excellent instructor. He was also very informative and truly provided history of Galveston and showed us many of the tree carvings! We thoroughly enjoyed this adventure and would encourage anyone wanting to explore Galveston and learn a little history to do it on a Segway! I did it first in January of 2021 with 12 girlfriends ages 50-82! Everyone loved it!

They did not show. They booked us on the wrong date. We were not able to go on the tour. We called and they said to request a refund and then they would refund trip advisor. How do we proceed?

Fantastic tour. Asa was a wonderful guide. He was knowable and entertaining. Having lessons on how to safely ride a Segway was a bonus.

Our Segway tour was a blast!!! I have done Segway tours before and this one was one of my favs! Our guide was a blast and was also very informative.

Guide was very knowledgeable of local history. I took the tour with my kids aged 12 and 11 and they had a blast, hopefully they learned something as well...

Segway tours are one of our "go-to" activities when visiting new places. We found this tour to be a great way to see difference parts of the city. Made it up to the port area where the tall ship, dolphin tours, etc. were; spent a good amount of time in the historic district hearing about some varipous houses and of course the tree carvings along the way; wrapped up at the sea wall. Two hours in total, good amount of time dedicated. We'd definitely recommend; even in the heat of the day, moving kept us cooler...bring sunscreen and water though ;)

We loved the Segway tour through Galveston. It was the first Segway tour we had taken and our guide, Asa, was very knowledgeable about the history of Galveston. We actually booked for the tree tour but Asa also shared a lot of history. The tree sculptures were wonderful to see. I would definitely do another tour. We had so much fun.
