Al's Ghost tour : a small group experience

Al was very conscientious about catering the experience to the entire family and learned everyone’s names. Made it an enjoyable experience for everyone in the family.

A fun walking tour through parts of haunted historic Galveston! Al is respectful of the experience and has a few funny jokes, too!

Everyone in my family (ages 14-50) really enjoyed this experience. It was a beautiful & unique way to explore some of Galveston’s rich history. Al’s passion for the paranormal was inspiring. He was engaging, entertaining, & incredibly respectful. I highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Al! He is passionate and knowledgeable about the city and the events that have transpired here. My family has come to Galvaston many times previously, but never have we had this much insight into the city. He is masterful story teller that kept the entire family engaged throughout the tour. The kids were surprised how much history they not only learned but actually enjoyed learning. This tour was was very fun, Al did an amazing job! You must check this tour out! As an added bonus it is suitable for the entire family and wheelchair accessible!

My Son and i had such a good time we booked another tour with Al the next night . Al gave us the opportunity to capture some really good pictures at the Boarding House. If u go take close attention to the top left window in the front of the House. that's were i took my best pictures look close at your pictures in the bottom corners of the window. This was one of the best tours ever. The Only thing I wish would have been different would be not so many people. But it was still amazing. Al Was very informative and very knowledgeable and Made me want to pay attention to what he was saying. You can tell that hes very passionate about what he does. And we appreciate that very much if I'm ever back in the area. I definitely will come back for another tour. My family and I love it very much. Must see.. He remembered everyone's names. I can't remember anyone's names so that was very impressive.

Looking for something paranormal-related while in town with a precocious 11 year old, and Al's reviews were intriguing, so we signed up for a Saturday evening tour.

The tour starts and ends near city hall, and in between Al shares his knowledge of things both historical and paranormal in regards to the places we visit. Won't ruin anything with specifics, but Al is prepared, personable, and respectful (even to the skeptics). Finally, he patiently answered my child's questions and even shared some corny word puns (we love word play) along the way.

We had a great time. Al was very nice. I do wish it would have been a wider area covered. I did enjoy the history. At times it did seem like Al was reaching for paranormal experiences.

Al is great! He is extremely knowledgeable and caters the tour as much as possible for your group. The history, stories and photographic/video examples were very interesting! He does a great job of being aware of the surroundings and keeping the group safe. Our girl's trip group would all highly recommend it!

Al was truly a great tour guide. We went for our 19th anniversary and had a wonderful evening learning about history in the Galveston area, seeing all the beautiful sites and the cool ambiance of the Strand. Al also gave us some great tips and places to go. Overall a great trip. Thanks Al!

Al's tour was excellent as always! This was our third time taking it. He takes excellent care of his guests and always has new things to show. Al also has the best evidence to show you! Hands down the best tour guide on the Island!

My maid-of-honor linked me a couple of ghost tour options to choose from and I chose Al's based on his glowing reviews. I've been on many, many ghost tours in various haunted cities, and some of them have been great, but none of them have compared to this one. Al was very attentive and personable to each member of the public group we were in. It was very clear how sincere and passionate he is about his work, not just in the paranormal, but historical, which I very much appreciated. Lastly, and as I told Al, my mind is always open to the paranormal, but I always try to view things from a scientific lens first. With that said, I have had paranormal experiences in that past that were easy for me to write off as unexplainable, but not necessarily paranormal, because I didn't have enough evidence. On this tour I clearly witnessed a shadow figure, that couldn't be mistaken for shadows or any other scientific explanation. To say that this tour wasn't just interesting, but rather life-changing, is an understatement.

Let me start off by saying Al is amazing. He is candid, open, and knowledgable. He started off by saying that we would get our fair share of both the history of galveston and the paranormal. He kept his word. The energy felt from the hauntings was both good and bad (depending on the intensity of the haunting). We enjoyed it immensely and Al even emailed us with reccomendations of fun things to do for the remainder of our stay. Major Kudos! Thanks so much!
