Meeting Point
The tour starts at the Alexandria History Museum at the Lyceum, just at the front door. You'll first get the WalknTours app to hear the tour. If you need parking, street parking is recommended and you'll see many lots in the area.

The tour takes you to many historic sites walking along cobblestoned streets and telling the story of it's history. Many of the sites are linked to George Washington, where he lived, his favorite restaurant and church. You'll see and get a feeling for the history of the city. The tour is all outside and you can go 24/7/365. It's guided by your smart phone (GPS) and is location aware playing the stories as you walk. The tour starts at the Alexandria History Museum at the Lyceum where you'll hear about it's history. You'll also see a site in the road from the Civil war and learn the role Alexandria played then.
