Ben was extremely friendly and professional throughout the tour! We started with some basic skills, then rode along a trail in segments to get the hang of things before learning more skills and putting them into practice.

Ben clearly has alot of experience and his communication and interpersonal skills are great. I highly recommend his tours for people of all skill levels!

The rail trail trip was an excellent experience. The bikes were delivered on time and the MBT staff member gave a very useful introduction to using electric bikes. We had a lot of fun with the bikes, and they got us through the steep gullies with ease. We averaged 21k/h over the trail without pushing it. I would recommend Fobes MBT for anyone hiring electric or regular mountain bikes for the Brisbane Rail Trail.

Father's day ride with my daughter

My daughter was visiting from Perth so we decided to spend the afternoon doing a 50km gravel ride to Esk for coffee for father’s day. I am road and gravel rider so we hired an ebike for my daughter from Forbes MTB. It was easy to collect the bike from Ben’s (Forbes) Brisbane workshop and he adjusted everything to suit. The ebike was great. It was our first time to use one and she could set the power so she could pedal as hard or easy as she wished and we could still ride together and chat. A great afternoon on the Brisbane Rail Trail!!

My brother and I rented eMTBs from Ben and spent an amazing day exploring the trails around Mt Coot-tha.

Ben was friendly and helpful, adjusting the bikes to our statures and providing tips. The bikes were great and easy to use and still had plenty of juice after our 43 km ride and 1200 m of elevation. I cannot imagine completing the same journey on a normal push bike.

You don't need to have any MTB experience, just be confident pedaling a bike.

I would definitely do this again and I've been recommending it to all my friends.

Although I have been riding road bikes for sometime, I had no experience in riding a mountain bike. Ben was very understanding. I told him what I wanted to do and he provided me with a mountain bike that suited my needs. The bike's set up was spot on, the gearing changed smoothy and the brakes worked equally well. Ben is very personable and if he can he will help you to have a great experience. Would highly recommend Ben Forbes MTB.

Felt E-bike rental

We rented a Felt E-bike from Ben! The bike was kept in great condition, with all parts running in tip top condition for the entirety of our ride :)

He also included instructions on how to turn on the bike, operate the controls, and charge it; which we felt was an awesome attention to detail as I don’t usually ride E-bikes!

Thanks again Ben, we will be back for more soon enough! Couldn’t recommend Ben’s rental service any more, 10/10

Ben was great, I had to unfortunately reschedule a couple of times and Ben was great about it and easy to deal with. Pick up and drop off were also easy and the bike itself was fantastic. I’d definitely use Ben and his bikes again.

A great opportunity even for experienced riders! Didn't have to waste time reading trail maps and trying to figure out trail directions. Scotty was a pro at lining up great lap after great lap. Would highly recommend for everyone from those looking to learn biking basics to those who just want a great trail guide or riding partner.

Ben made this a very enjoyable experience from the initial enquiry through prompt correspondence to the actual ride day.

Ben was great to deal with, But even though Ben had proir engagements for that day, we couldn't have asked for more from Sam the guide he organised to do the day. Would highly recommend this, We had varying experience levels in our group, But everyone walked away with a smile from the day.

I rented one of Ben's full suspension bikes for a day riding on Mt. Cootha. The bike Ben provided was absolutely brilliant. It was a quality bike and was perfectly maintained. Ben was great too. He was very attentive to what I needed and was responsive to all my questions. You couldn't ask for anyone better to rent a bike from and given my experience with Ben I bet he would be a great tour guide and teacher too. Couldn't recommend him highly enough.
