LGBTQIA+ Private Tour: Explore São Paulo With A Local Gay-Friendly Guide

We (four friends) did a six-hour tour with Danilo, and it was excellent. Communication in advance, and by Danilo when he arrived (on time) to pick us up, was clear.

Danilo was great in every way. He's a very experienced and knowledgeable guide, with a passion for history and for talking about "real life" in São Paulo and in Brazil more generally. He has a good sense of humour and a light-hearted touch. He's completely fluent in English. The tour was very LGBTQ+ friendly, as advertised, including some very interesting discussions with Danilo about his work in the community.

Danilo was very flexible about how we spent our time together, and he checked several times to make sure we were happy with how the tour was going, and whether there was enough emphasis on the right things. It was clear that he truly cared about our experience.

I recommend this tour without hesitation.

The only negative comment I have is about the vehicle. Danilo has a pickup truck that would work very well for up to three guests. With four of us, it was a bit uncomfortable for the three of us in the back seat, especially in the center. Not too bad, but not ideal.

Overall, though, a very enjoyable tour.

Our guide, Marcio, had so much knowledge in many aspects and continued to pique our interest. Thanks to him, we thoroughly enjoyed São Paulo and gave us an excellent introduction to the city. Knowing we were a gay couple, he also made sure that we felt comfortable throughout the tour. We recommend this tour to any LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples who want to have a good introduction to this megacity.

Honestly, I did not know what to expect when booking this tour. I wanted an LGBT friendly tour because 3 gay guys with different languages on a tour. I booked this tour online based on these reviews here. So now, I add my own.

Danilo arrived ahead of time. He looked for us. His car perfect for a city tour. His experience shows because he knows exactly where to go and when. You sit back in comfort and he takes care of everything.

Here is where my review is more personal but also helpful. Danilo at all times changing between English and Portuguese with no problems. 3 of us on this tour. I speak both languages. The other 2 speak only English and Portuguese. But he made sure everyone understood all and had the best experience.

An entire day spent with such a wonderful guide. I already requested him again for another tour!

He guided us through multiple areas of São Paulo. This is quite literally the best tour I have ever experienced in any city.

But it does not stop here… he learned I a recent widower. My entire visit to São Paulo was more to get away from home because he learned I lost my husband. He made a special effort to me.

There is no review strong enough to explain how special this tour was. If someone reads this review. Questions whether to book this one…. My advice. Book this one. There simply is nothing better.

I had not done a LGBT tour before when I travel and wanted to give this a try and it was really enjoyable! My guide Danilo knew a lot about history, and art of São Paulo while making me feel very safe and understood, we stopped along the way for me to eat, get some coffee anything I needed he was very attentive. I liked the tour so much I booked a few more from this company, you are in good hands with them! I recommend for anyone. Obrigado

I had a tour with Danilo and I honestly have to say it was one of the best introductions to São Paulo I could have asked for. Danilo really knows his city and is an excellent conversationalist. He is also very flexible in tailoring the tour towards what you want to see and experience. I will never forget the Açai berry bowl I ate with him. Thank you Danilo!

Danilo was our tour guide and was absolutely fantastic! His communication was great and showed us all around São Paulo. If we wanted to change up the tour and spend a little time at some spots he showed us it was no problem. We had some fantastic views of the city and we would have never found them on our own. He gave us some great perspectives and helped us with some restaurant and bar ideas for the nights out. It was an absolutely fantastic tour and would highly recommend while in São Paulo!

Booking a “best of” tour was the best way to explore the city for a solo traveler and my first time to Brazil and São Paulo. Renato was very knowledgeable, amicable, and a great companion as he took me around the major sights and districts around the city.. also provided info on the best areas and places to go on my own that would be safe. Would recommend!

Marcio gave us a great LGBTQ perspective of São Paulo. We were able to see the city through the eye of a local from shops, to the arts, parks, museums, and local cuisine. He tried to give us much information while going to the streets of São Paulo. We feel that it would be difficult to hit all those spots on our own. Great experience and kudos to Marcio for being accommodating!

Had a amazing 6 hour tour that was exactly what I was looking for on my first visit to São Paulo. My tour guide Danilo was professional, knowledgeable, a great communicator (English), and I highly recommend for anyone looking to explore São Paulo!

The clear communication the guide provided throught out the tour; his knowlege of the areas that were visited. His enthusiasm about history, arts and the topics that were covered during the tour.

There are no words to express what we experience. Danilo is the best guide ever. He is very polite, knowledgeable of history, architecture, art, food, music,....he is native of Sao Paulo and give us tons of information and tips to complete our visit to the city.
