What You Will Do
If you want to discover the deep reality of the colombian capital you should join me in this experience trying to see and understand the configuration of the colombian society, we will not see colonial architecture, museums or fancy streets, we will go through the south neighborhoods of Bogota by using one of the most innovative transportation system in the world, Tansmilenio and Transmi Cable (Cable car). Bogota has different faces and this a really interesting one you dont want to miss. First of all, we take the Transmilenio (BRT System) direction to Tunal Station and reach the Cable Care used by 700.000 locals everyday as their main transportation system. We will go to the last station Paraiso, and walk around in a deteriorated urban district by the violence and poorness in the past, trying to improve its habitants and surroundings through the education, urban renovation, sports and art equipments.

Great experience besides the beaten path
2023-10-30
When I had only 3 day in Bogota I wanted to check out a nice trip besides the standard tourist stuff and there it was - the trip to El Paraiso. I checked the homepage of Rolombia trips and booked the tour a day ahead and after some minutes Juan got in contact with me. We meet at the meeting point and went through the city to get to the cable car. Already the view from the cable car, the view is amazing, but with the local guide Andrea the experience got perfect. She told me a kit about the history and graffiti, as well as showed me local food and drinks. All in all a perfe t experience and I can highly recommend it to anyone even you have only a few days.
A trip to Bogota's historic hills

My friend and I were in Bogota for 5 days and I could not be happier that we made this a part of our trip! Our two guides, Juan and Andrea, were amazing, and they provided a great overview of El Paraiso and El Mirador, the history of Ciudad Bolivar, and how these communities are working to enhance the lives of their residents.
With over 1 million people living in Ciudad Bolivar, if you want to truly see all sides of Bogota as a city, this stop is just as important as Chapinero and La Candelaria in my opinion. The art is amazing, the food is tasty, and the strides that these communities are making are inspiring to witness firsthand. Not to mention, the views of the city are unmatched (yes, even better than Monserrate!)
And if you are a foreign traveler with safety concerns, I can only speak to my experience, but we could not have felt safer throughout. The residents were all welcoming, and the neighborhoods were lively throughout the time we were there, with children playing games and stores filled with customers.
You will not regret this tour!
