What You Will Do
Moravia was the old municipal dump of Medellin for many years. This mountain of waste, which has reached up to 40 meters in height, has today been transformed into a magnificent garden on the initiative of the inhabitants.
By taking this tour accompanied by a social leader, you will discover this district of Moravia by walking through the magnificent landscaped garden located on the hill. Then, you will walk on the path illustrated with photos which retraces the impressive history of Moravia. You will visit the different nurseries run by gardening cooperatives. Finally, you will go to the hillock to admire the 360-degree view of the city of Medellin.
With this tour you contribute to the transformation of the district thanks to the reforestation workshop. Travelers are therefore invited to plant a tree or plant on the side of the mountain to continue to give life to this surprising colorful garden.
